I have been searching the forum and there is about zero talk about this neat little tool over years, so I thought to create this topic gathering my fellow GOGer's various opinions on it, and their favorite shaders / most despised effects.
I did not use it for years until a few months ago starting with Final Fantasy IX's Moguri Mod, and now as soon as I have installed a game, I tend to start it once then exit to try and apply ReShade.
My usual shaders set is really small as I want an enhanced, but still "vanilla" experience. As for what I turn OFF if possible, I am totally not a fan of crappy (read, blurry) bilinear filtering, DoF & blinding Bloom...
For lighting enhancement, I chose Clarity.fx, it makes the scene stand out except on blacks and is really useful for confortable fonts reading, though It does change the color tone to be somewhat darker the image gains a great raise in details.
For sharpening I chose HighPassSharpen.fx, I found this shader giving the best results coupled with "clarity" while staying true to the original image, avoiding the infamous "watercolor painting" look of most others.
I keep only those two normally, not a fan of other effects that I find too "game changing" but maybe I am missing some nice ones that could contribute to truely enhance the visual experience...?
Tell me, tell us your picks, if you will my folks and why are they your favs or your foes? :)
