AndresPaiva1987: Point.
It's your attitude that's your main problem here - not the game. You write that you're 30 years old... but you certainly act like you're 10.

AndresPaiva1987: Most of you send me to a generic "help" section that only contains FAQs. It doesn't work. Nobody takes care of you online, and it is not possible to start the claim process. You can only "leave a message", like a bottle in the sea ...

I insist with my point: I can not waste time looking for tricks on the internet or the forums. If the game does not work, it is just that I can return it without complications. Point.
That's where you create support tickets. Both the process of trying to get the games working and the process of getting a refund start there. There's no automated refund system as every case is different.
Still do not understand: I wrote this post to complain about the customer service system.

In Steam, for example, you can request a refund with just a click. Not here.

Because on Steam they have the power to take your games away (for the most part). Not here.
Take for instance Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack:
Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility.

And Steam games are also infested with the Steam DRM, but not here. So that disadvantage counteracts the advantage that you mentioned.

Which

Two

Games

?

You're obviously interested enough in those game to have purchased them, and clearly you're having a problem getting them to run correctly. If we know what games they are, we might be able to help you get them going. It could be something very simple, but we have no idea until we know what games are causing the problems for you.
It very well could just be that Legacy Components such as DirectPlay are turned off on your system. Many older games need that to work, although Windows 10 may have it off by default.

There is no GoG staff here to help you. All you;re doing is ranting to your fellow gamer. I;m sorry you don;t understand that.

You need to raise the issue with GoG staff via a support ticket.

That's true.

Darvond: Well, my angry Argentinian, there's some data missing from your case.
A: What games?
B: When purchase?
C: Did you contact support?
A: Return to castle Wolfenstein & Medal of Honor Warchest

C: Yes.

Thanks

gixgox: D: Try to be polite.
You're right, my apologies.

AndresPaiva1987: Return To Castle Wolfenstein and Medal of Honor Warchest.
You don't have an Intel integrated graphics card, or an ATI Radeon X1800 card, do you?
Support pages for both games:

Also, as mentioned by RWarehall, it might have to do with DirectPlay. In Windows 8 it's disabled by default and some older titles need it. Fallout Tactics, for example, requires DirectPlay.
Also make sure you have DirectX 9 installed. It does not ship with Win 10 anymore but has been used by games for ages. Installing the "latest" DirectX doesn't install 9 anymore.

DirectPlay being turned off in fresh installs of Win 10 or the latest DirectX not including DX9 are the two reasons a lot of games won't work out of the box. Old developers got lazy with some of their installers after awhile because everyone already had these DirectX 9 components installed because DX9 was around for so long. But years later, that is not necessarily true especially for new computers. Older C++ Redistributables are also a missing feature, but developers were pretty good about including the installers for them as new versions were still being released year to year.

It's hilarious how people on this forum and elsewhere STILL cling to the "Why do you still use Win 7 when Win 10 is better in every way" when theres many old Windows games which are broken or have compatibility issues on 10.
