The votes are in! Let's review what happened today:

Everybody was amazed to find the Puzzlemaster in the defendant's seat. Half of them were surprised because they loved him, the other half were surprised that he hadn't ended up in it sooner. Bookwyrm immediately showed his attention to detail, took off his glasses in a moment of vague cinematic greatness, and boldly proclaimed that he would take on the Puzzlemaster's challenge. REDVWIN applauded. Habanerose cracked his knuckles. ZFR adjusted his "Kiss me, I'm Irish (and probably a leprechaun)" scarf. Bler only giggled.
Maxvorstadt offered up some form of food which only Yezemin could pronounce and thus was the only one who was brave enough to eat it. In the midst of this tension, Sunshinecorp looked over Bookwyrm's shoulder, took notes, and discussed the case with him, determined to solve the mystery this time, while secretly keeping a chain in his pocket just in case the bespectacled bibliophile got TOO close.
His Eternal Squiddliness took Amrit by the shoulders and explained something wise pertaining to cheese. In the midst of it, he accidentally slapped Sanfueg, who didn't move an inch. Instead, a small slip of paper fell out of his hood holding his vote, which served to creep everybody out even more. When did he write that? How long was it there? Does he have ALL his votes prepared like this? What does he do when he needs to use the bathroom?
Ashwald immediately started asking vital questions, of which Djaron leaned in to answer with a song, which was more like a rhyme put to some form of lute music.
"Can't you sing something people actually KNOW?", Zeogoldilocks snapped.
Djaron then put the lute on his back. whipped out a small keyboard and began playing.
In the midst of this, the Puzzlemaster was constantly fiddling with the locks. Remembering what he pulled off when he first made Puzzle-Bot, Bookwyrm and Bler quietly watched him. Sure enough, as soon as the bailiff was distracted, the chains and weight fell off of him, he jumped over the front of the defendant box, and bolted for the door. Bler quickly leaped out and clung to the Puzzlemaster's leg with all his strength, which didn't do much until Bookwrym snatched Yezemin's panda out of her hands and threw it at the both of them. Bler caught it, and in approximately 1.34 seconds, the Puzzlemaster was on the ground in a half-nelson. The bailiff dragged him away. When he returned, he was now in a strait jacket. Forced to continue, he begrudgingly sat down and read off the coroner's report.
Djaron's song for today is:
An Old Fashioned Love Song, by Paul Williams (1971)
Whether this is significant or not, nobody knows. He totally nailed that kazoo solo, though.
The coroner's report states that the time of death was definitely between 9 P.M. and midnight. Death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the chest, severing the right coronary artery and causing the victim to quickly bleed to death. Other damage to the body included a severely fractured tibia in the lower left leg. The tibia was bruised, but not broken. There also appeared to be a few burn marks on the body.

That'll do for today. We all need some rest. You guys can return to your chambers now.
...
.....uh, Sanfueg? I said, you can return to your-
...Hello? Hello?
*waves hands*
*snaps fingers*
Are you even listening?
Uh...ok...I guess you can stay there....
Why the heck did I have to sleep in the strait jacket?! Where am I gonna go?
Actually wait, don't answer that.

DAY 2 BEGINS NOW!
ALL RISE!
COURT IS NOW IN SESSION!

So it was broken, but not broken. Got it. Or is the second sentence referring to the R tibia? This might fall under advanced anatomy, but the middle leg does not contain a tibia, nor indeed any actual "bone."

Any additional detail about the burns? Rope burns on the hands indicating an attempt to rappel down? Chemical burns? Emotional 'yo momma's so fat' burns?

bler144: So it was broken, but not broken. Got it.
It's FRACTURED, not broken. Meaning it has a bunch of hairline cracks in it, but the thing is still in one piece.

In medical terminology, a fracture covers all types of breaks, ranging from a relatively mild "hairline fracture" or greenstick fracture up through a range of more complex and serious fractures.

I probably wouldn't nitpick, but this is a coroner's report and they presumably know something about medicine ;)

The fact that it's "not broken" tells you which it is.
I'll break both ya faces if you don't quit nitpicking at the medicine man's report!
