Ok, think I'm caught up, admittedly involving some skimming.

Observations:

1) One glaring piece of evidence at hand suggests Archie did it, and a second suggests how/why that's possible
2) Krypsyn is always scum, but innocent of murder

Possible it's a Dial M for Murder scenario and Krypsyn is guilty of conspiracy, but Archie certainly did the act, and likely of his own volition.

Still, since Archie looks like the biggest suspect atm, and most of those lines of evidence look hit/miss, I'm okay with
Vote : Doorman

as a means to test the veracity of part of his testimony, which I suspect will fall as "not true."
Oh, so you finally decided to arrive, eh?
But where's the prosecution?

Ok, I should be doing work, or that job application I said I was going to do, but uh, haven't. But to totally procrastinate, let's look at each piece of evidence:

Officer on Scene, Bedroom
Prosecution Witness, Darleen's Coworker
Officer on Scene, Bathroom
Prosecution Witness, Doorman
Prosecution Witness, Maintenance Man

Bedroom Officer likely gives us the means by which death occurred. Unless I missed it, we only know that it was bloody. So rules out strangulation/smothering, but perhaps puts shark attack squarely on the table, and it would be important to rule that out.

Pro: Means is generally one of the three key pieces of info in a murder case. Also, it would be really nice to find that button. If we're very likely, there's a ToD, though I somewhat doubt it.

Cons: Means, however may / may not tie to any particular suspect. Might also involve evidence planted to mislead. "Krypsyn's monogrammed knife" e.g.

Overall rating: middlin' - boom or bust, essentially.

Darleen's coworker
I think this one is more valuable than it's getting credit for. She knows something very important, whether or not she understands it.

Overall rating: high

Bathroom Officer
Krypsyn's prints are likely on scene, as now are Dean's. Archie's likely not. Faucets may have been wiped or killer may have just used gloves.

Overall rating: Low

Doorman - Serves two purposes. Can confirm/rebut one piece of Archie's testimony, and can potentially place Krypsyn at the apt. that evening. That said, without ToD, that's potentially misleading.

Maintenance Man Unless I'm missing something, at first glance this seems to make the least sense, and particularly why this person would be a prosecution witness.

Though I suppose we learned in the last case that the prosecution may be incompetent. Uh, no offense. Let's strike that from the record and say "their own worst enemy."

My guess is that the Maintenance Man uses calculus to estimate the time that the taps were turned on based on water volume. But even that would be useful only if we knew the taps were turned on at the ToD and not later, or even potentially earlier, I suppose.

Overall rating: Dependent on other evidence.

For me D1 is either the doorman (potentially points at Archie or Krypsyn, or both) or the coworker (likely ______ but really _______).
Well, this is an interesting predicament. The jury's votes are in, which means we should technically be moving on, although I wanted to let the prosecution and defense present their opening cases, which will provide vital information. I think I'll wait for them, just in case anybody wants to change their votes or speculate any more in the meantime.

Oh, well uh....Unvote then.

I quite like my solution, but might as well see the evidence if we're actually going to get some this time. ;)
Oh god, indecisive ninnies in this game too. ;)
