OK, look, the bedroom thing was a bust. Should have looked in the bathroom, I think.
I continue to think that those of you trying to win prizes by slamming down votes with zero evidence are just cray-cray. I think you looked at the last game and are trying to line-jump to a conclusion as fast as you can.
Maybe it's just me because I don't care about the prizes, but ya know, it would be fun to get this right. There is zero, ZERO evidence against anybody right now. The Princess, Archie, nobody. Instead of flying off trying to solve the whole case based on the OP alone, we should be looking for the real twist. My dollar says the killer turns out to be somebody we're not expecting. It's just too lazy to be written otherwise.
Vote for the box
Eventually, SOMETHING has to be actual evidence here!

vv221: I just can't resist a mysterious smelly wooden box, I'm casting my vote on it without any hesitation!
That's right, that's right Open the box! Boxes exist to be opened. I've got a stash of gas masks for everyone so it'll all be hunky dory! The longer we leave it here the more it will stink so let's get this over with.Post edited March 01, 2016 by ashwald

Odd, something tells me that the box either contains the corpse of the co-worker or Mr. Zea Gold.
Either way, let's get over with it, and Open the Box, then Burn the Puzzlemaster, as he never specified there may be additional evidence later down the line.

Step into my office, baby.
As to #1, WIFOM. The challenge is in sorting out which path is true and why, not necessarily finding a unicorn in an oyster shell - as the saying goes.
#2 As we get older, the bathroom seems more necessary whether or not we would choose to vote for it first.
I was surprised the bedroom yielded quite that little. "Lewd" is a bit generic - I'm imagining her curled up under a blanket watching "Bridget Jones' Diary." Dirrrty.
Still, I'll happily vote for the box for narrative purposes. Vote box.

Given that the Puzzlemaster's challenge is "Solve the mystery by day 3. ", it should logically be possible to solve it with minimum 2 pieces of evidence (though obviously requiring luck and foresight in getting the right ones / combination from the get-go, though him adding sudden surprise evidence may invalidate this...).
And ironically, last time I waited too long before deciding to give the answer, despite already being convinced about my theory.
And while there is no "physical proof" yet, there is at least some quite incoherent / suspicious behavior displayed by Archie, along with him knowing of a way to access the appartment of Darleen (he could technically have made a double of the keys).
Also the idea that Darleen decided to meet alone with an ex-mafiosi in her appartment to tell him straight into the face that "it's over" just sounds wrong / fishy... it's almost like asking to get killed, or at least to receive a severe beating and intimidation.

Sidenote:
About the phrase in Turkish "Seni mafya'dan kimse kurtaramaz" (Google translated too "nobody can save you from the mob (mafia?)" )
I've been wondering a bit if it could possibly also mean: "Nobody can escape from the mob / mafia"
Which oddly enough could mean that maybe Mr. Krypsyn's former associates kinda view in a bad light his desire to turn the page and leading a honest life. And the murder of his girlfriend was either a message, or some kind of twisted punishment, as in making him go to jail to remind him that he can never really leave the mafia...
Well still, doesn't explain Archie's suspicious behavior.

I think you all should totally avoid the box for the entire rest of the court, just to mess with the judge's lackey. If you could successfully finish this case by Day 3, then the box, which didn't come until Day 3, isn't necessary to successfully finish the case.
Additionally, may I point out that Mr. Krypsyn may well have killed Darleen and then tried to make it look like the mafia was attempting to frame him for the kill? Seems to be working out for him so far.

Possible. Makes much more sense than the mafia actually framing him. As an ex-mafioso with secrets, it makes zero sense for them to frame him, since it puts him in a position of possibly needing to plea and buy weight by trading knowledge of prior organized crime activities. They either kill him or leave him alone.
