I can already see that I'm going to be the one that drags this case to the very end. You're not getting my verdict, as usual, before we examine every bit of the evidence. Though I am leaning towards a not guilty verdict at this time, it may change.

Who knows? You might end up being the first person who gets it right!

So... so... my amazing not-at-all-far-fetched theory is wrong? :(

Friendly little nudge to the both of you, as you're the votes we need to move us on to the next day. Considering how close the current tally is, what you guys decide on will be pivotal.

What are these suspicions? I like to quote a chap from england who was once heard saying "Suspicion always haunts the guilty mind." But could it be? Zeo, are you a Brother, brother?

vv221: While I understand the interest in the victim’s co-worker, I fail to understand the point of scrutinizing the bedroom. I don’t think the victim has been killed in there. The bathroom on the other hand is a perfect place to kill someone while leaving as little tracks as possible, then dragging the corpse to the bedroom could just have been a trick to mislead us.
Could the jurors who voted to examine the bedroom explain to me what they expect to find in there?
Well lets go back to when Dean and Archie entered the victims room. Archie turns left to the bathroom and on returning to the bedroom, he forgets to close the taps. Isn't this slightly odd, considering that Archie was just mopping up the water that was overflowing from here to his and Deans room? The entire reason for the 2 roommates to be here is to check on the situation in Darleen's apartment, and try and resolve this issue, which would involve closing the taps. So, he could only have forgotten to close the taps as he was distracted. Now it could be because Dean called out at the very time that Archie was about to do so, but even then, does it take all that long to close the taps? NO. I'm guessing he was distracted for other reasons.

I suspect Archie of having had a role to play in Darleen's murder. And if you consider his actions at this point, there does seem to be something fishy going on. Moreover, the reason I choose to see the evidence from the bedroom is that there is something there that gets Archie all agitated. Dean thinks Archie sees the blood and starts heaving. Im guessing Archie went to the bathroom first to check if any evidence/clues were there and being satisfied that nothing incriminating was left behind he went on to the bedroom and on seeing some evidence he left behind (could be the very button he is talking about, or something else), he panics. Either way it is best to check the bedroom for the evidence.

Also from the information provided I don't think the body was dragged to the bedroom. Because if that was the case, there would have been some blood marks on the floor from the body being dragged across, and Dean didn't comment on seeing any such marks.

Good observations. I hadn't considered that his reaction was to observing some clue he'd left behind. I'd assumed it was just a general front.

For me the argument for the bedroom is that I think it's the least predictable other than the mechanic - and I still have no idea why he's even in play.

The bathroom is going to either yield: taps wiped clean with only Dean's fingerprints, or multiple fingerprints including Krypsyn's, but from indeterminate time. I suppose we could get lucky and the taps have Archie's prints in which case it would be in the bag - since it's clear he didn't turn them off, why he must have turned them on! - but that seems unlikely both from a narrative and gameplay perspective.

The co-worker will reiterate knowledge that can be read one of two ways, at best gives clarity that the victim seemed happy with Krypsyn, but started becoming agitated of late, again for reasons that could arguably point in opposing directions.

Thanks. Archie doesn't come across as a guy who could feign so well, so I guessed it was a genuine reaction to something he saw there.

Yes, the bathroom isn't going to yield any substantial evidence at this point.

Whatever info the coworker provides, in my opinion, will just be hearsay.

Have you considered the possibility of there having been 2 potential murderers? As in, Archie came first to the room, had an altercation with the victim in the bathroom and in what ensued Archie panicked and left her for dead there, when she was but unconscious. But then came in another murderer who actually finished the job, and that is why Archie is so taken aback when seeing all the blood around Darlene.

Re-reading the OP, unless there's actually something stuffed in the drain (krypsyn's confession note), yeah, I'm happy avoiding the bathroom for now. Agree on the hearsay.

For me it's bedroom, but mulling over a few details I'd at least consider the bigger moonshot of the maintenance man.

The >1 murderer theory would fit a number of details in the story (why Archie headed toward the bathroom but didn't turn off the taps, e.g.), not to mention the suggestion that there's a "surprise twist" in store.

Though with 1 murderer the motive is moderately clear (jealous BF, regardless of who BF is). With two murderers the motive of 1 of them is at least less clear, though perhaps the doorman's testimony is a hint.

I do have a vague theory on why the taps were turned on other than what the prosecution has proposed.
