sunshinecorp: Oh, they're doing peachy. One of them texted me a pic of YOUR kids tied up.

zeogold: Ok, now that I'm done freaking out. let's do something about this. I've gotten the bailiff to lock the courtroom doors, so NOBODY'S gettin' outta here until we sort this mess out. There's two more mafia members in this court attempting to sway the trial, apparently. In what direction, I have no idea, but with this taken into consideration, I'll give you all ONE chance to change your verdict, if you so desire, anytime before we catch the last mafia member.

As far as catching these people go, we're going to have to hold a mini-trial of sorts (since this IS court, after all). I'm giving everybody in here the power of investigation.
If you want to investigate:
Make a vote, in bold, of what section in the court you'd like to search in. I'm not giving you options for this, be creative!
You will receive a PM of what you've found. You can only search one spot at a time.

If you want to analyze:
PM Puzzle-Bot with your evidence. He will give you back a reading of who or what it could possibly implicate.

If you want to accuse:
Make a vote, in bold, of the person you want to put on trial. 7 votes, and Mr. DeLucce will be forcibly yanked from the defendant's seat while that person gets shoved up there.

During the trial:
Make your case, presenting your evidence and findings. A Guilty or Not Guilty vote will then be collected from the jurors only on that person. 7 votes and the bailiff shoves them into the holding cell and we move onto the next person.

Now, LET'S GET A MOVE ON!
STAGE 2 BEGINS NOW!

Bookwyrm627: ...Did you manage to secretly conscript a dozen people and swing things around into an impromptu pseudo-mafia game??
Depends on what you consider Mafia. In this particular game, the "mafia" aren't really actively trying to defend against themselves, more like trying to sway you to vote a particular way through screwing with the trial. The question is, how are they trying to get you to vote?
Most of the people last game suggested a "red herring" of sorts. Well, congratulations, y'all have got some.

zeogold: You will receive a PM of what you've found. You can only search one spot at a time.
avatar
ashwald: So half the game now moves to PMs? Boo!
No, it's supposed to keep mainly to the thread since you're supposed to mention where you searched and what you've found, although it seems that few people have picked up on this so far.
avatar
Habanerose: A bit confused, so a few questions first:

- Since we can either analyze or investigate, is it limited to only the people and evidence which made their way in the courtroom (which would exclude Archie, Dean and Darleen's Corpse).?

- Is it only possible to investigate one thing / person?

- Same question for presenting evidence to Puzzlebot, any limitations? (or are both mutually exclusive?)

- There are at least 2 more members of the mafia besides the GoGfather (whose the 3rd) and Mr.DeLucce (who isn't included in the count, being the defendant)? or did I misread?
Yes, only the people who've shown up in court.

At once, yes.

One at a time.

Yes.
The specific thing you're trying to figure out here, if it isn't clear, is who in this game has been trying to swing the trial in a certain direction, whether this be a Guilty or a Not Guilty verdict.
Could be Yogsloth, since he's the only Guilty voter and he could have been unsuccessful.
However, it could just as easily have been one of the 11 people who voted Not Guilty, and they could have been extremely successful.
Or it could be some unrelated member of the audience who's doing an extremely poor job of what he was hired to do.
Or it could be the defense or the prosecution.
Might even be me.
In order to assist you with figuring this out (in theory, it would be solvable just by paying attention to what particular people have said), I've given you the option of investigating areas of the courtroom. What you find and where you've found it should cue you in on who the guilty party is.

Analysis complete!
RESULTS:
Fang tooth of kattus undomesticatus. A bit of glass is at the tip of it.
COULD IMPLICATE:
- Snow Katt: Tooth comes from her species, would have the strength to remove this tooth
- sunshinecorp: Would have the strength to remove this tooth, shows great interest in Snow Katt
- Krypsyn Delucce: Would have the strength to remove this tooth

Search Yogsloth's pockets and belongings.

lol, screw you dudes.

katt first, wyrm second.
Hm, let`s try this: Feed code "PI CZB CPNB PC'R CVEBI HTM CT OBVX CZPR, P'QB DOTFVFAH RCVFFBX HTM" into puzzlebot.

He can, but I've programmed him not to do it automatically. Keeps me from being tempted to get the solution without figuring it out myself.

Enh, gimmie a few, I might be able to do it, but the apostrophe in the middle of that one word is a problem.

[edit] nah, it's easy. Almost done.

Assuming Maxvorstadt got it from my sister's handbag, it probably involves terrible grammar.

You're assuming he'd still be alive, with all of his limbs intact, after reaching into my handbag.
First five words done.

[edit] You're an ass, zeo.

[edit edit], No I made a mistake. I've got the full message now.

If it makes you feel any better, I think that first (and only) D could equate to P. Just a guess, though.

No, no, knowing me, you could very well be right about the first edit.

Where did you get this note?

Wherever it was found, the case just went a long way to being cracked.

That's why the evidence was so piss-poor. It's all here in stage two.

[edit] oh geez, I'm so dumb. I didn't realize I had a notification for a PM from Zeo after I requested to check katt's purse.

In it I found legal documents, "several disfigured bagels", and a note that says, and I quote:

"Screw this up, and you go back to da necklace jobs, capisce?"

...

Yep.

Yep yep yep.

I won't translate the cryptogram here in case anybody else wants to have fun with it... but I think we've found our two mafioso.
