popperik: Well, the new piece of evidence doesn't contradict my theory so I'd like to lock my verdict: Not guilty. My explanation can be found earlier in the thread:

So, the second robber wanted to ditch the wounded / dead robber's body in the well.

Then we have Whitemane, who was trying to wash his clothes after a small kitchen accident, but the washing machine wouldn't work. He tried the kitchen sink, but no water there, so he decides to stroll over to the well on the other side of the field, where he notices the body and decides to carry it home, because he recognises the body as the travelling salesman. Then he gets spotted by the workers, etc...

I'm also gonna be quite busy this week and while I'll try to keep an eye on the thread, just assume I'm voting for the majority. In case of ties, I'm voting for the one with the shorter name.
C'mon, ABSOLUTELY noone that lives in this century goes to an abandoned well to wash their clothes because the water is out in their house! Not even old bear hunters like Whitemane! You're all voting for his innocence, but I KNOW he's guilty, I'm just undecided on WHAT he's guilty of. I have a hunch the autopsy report will clear things up.

Watch it on the bold, there. I keep track of those for votes, but I know it wasn't your intention and will let you off the hook.
And by the way, he's on trial for robbery here. If you think he's guilty of something else, that's not the place of this particular jury. Vote on this case only.

We need to *hic*.. release the guy and put *hic*... the puzzlemaster in lockup.

Well... I agree with the second part.
I also vote to lock up the Puzzlemaster.

Didn't teach us anything new, really. Only confirming what was already speculated since Day 1...

Really doubt the last two evidences will make a difference now, but who knows.

Gonna go with Evidence from the Car.

Agreed. Our jury doesn't seem particularly impartial, and I'm starting to doubt they ever were in the first place.

I did warn about this, you know.

No being drunk in the audience!
I'm only letting the jury get away with that.

madth3: Lock up the Puzzlemaster!
The only reason I'm letting myself get locked up is for my own protection.
...although that's looking pretty reasonable right about now, considering this jury.
Evidence from the Car then from the Autopsy.

I have my mind made up for 80%, but I want to hear out all the evidence if it is possible.

I'd say throw the book at him, but I'm not sure we're bright enough to read an actual book.

Perhaps someone has a leaflet we could throw at him? No?

A take-out menu? Yes, indeed. Throw the take-out menu at him!

As they say.
