Seriously, my rep has started going up because Wakkalo's script was removed and a few of the heavy msss dereppers have either left or been kicked.

Look at zeo; his stopped dropping and started rising too and no one in their right mind would ever think he has alts.

I did lose a bunch today because I pissed off Kleetus and Swatkatt showed up, but that stuff is kind of unavoidable. :P

Your so easy to wind up, I logged in to see if I fancy playing any of the games I have on here...

And thought let's wind up tiny. I only log in about once a month now, due to the stupid gog auth crap, and gog please piss off with taking me to the store page when I log in.

Gog has changed so much, look at the prices of games. gog must have been taken over by a south african company ^^

I fully agree that the Steam client looks better and is easier to use. GOG should just have copied more from Steam.

On the other side I use the website for search and I'm not interested in achievements at all. So your issues do not really apply to me. But I still hope GOG will listen here and will try to make the experience best for everyone.

Anyway, what do you mean by the achievements features is more complicated to use or browser over than it should be?

If you really want to help GOG, you could describe more in detail, was was complicated and maybe what you would like to have instead.

Wow! I popeed back in to see if there'd been a reply and there's been many, too many to individually respond too so, having just read through them thanks to everyone for the Welcomes, Suggestions, Idea's and general chit chat. I too hope GOG's staff take note of what's troubling community members with a view towards fixing/changing things.

As was mentioned I am new to the community of GOG but I think I'll start looking in more often so again Thanks for the replies.

Wow, so I wasn't alone. I really sometimes don't understand the drama, but then I don't read all threads, especially the trading or gifting threads which apparently caused quite a lot of ill feelings in the past.

It is like Christmas, it is supposed to be peaceful time with the people you love, but all you get is little kids screaming for not getting the gift they wanted, and intoxicated parents stabbing each other. Not cool.

Cavenagh has the right idea though: if one doesn't enjoy being here, visit less often. I also try to avoid visiting sites I don't like.

I would prefer to use a platform such as GOG where I control my game content and can't be cut off from it if Steam decides to insist on making me sign back in after a couple of days off no internet access, which happens more often than I'd like. I'm starting to think Steam have coded it so that if you do not sign in via the internet every 4 or 5 days it automatically locks you out until you do so again, but who knows maybe it's just my bad luck that this has happened the last 3 times I've had no internet for any meaningful length of time.

The point is, as I said I'd prefer to start getting my games via the DRM free GOG platform but here's the problem I have with GOG at the moment.

Galaxy is not user friendly.
As an example I booted up GOG today and went to the store to look for a game,
After spending a minute or two browsing the front page I started looking for a window to write the games name in but I can't find one.

It's certainly not as obvious as it should be, I tried using the window over on the left side of the store page but that's for searching the games I already own, so after a couple more minutes of trying to find a way to do it on the front store page I give up and move on.

It's not the only issue either, With Steam I enjoy the Steam achievements feature and it is one of the main reasons I predominantly use Steam, When I heard GOG was getting a similar feature I was pleased however this is also more complicated to use or browse over than it should be.

GOG is currently my smallest game provider of 4 I use with the other 3 being Steam, U-play & Origin.

Of those 4 GOG is the one I'd prefer to use but you don't make it easy to choose you, So please fix up the UI to make the store easier to use and the features more prominent.

Ease of use is the key and it is the reason GOG isn't my first choice,

I can't imagine I'm unique in this way so please fix up the kinks in Galaxy so we can all get on board.

Are you for real ? Isn't the magnifying glass icon a general search symbol recognized by...everyone ?
The search function on gog is great, you should try it.
And gog galaxy is still in development but it's clearly the best alternative to steam, right now, even though it's far from complete... If you like DRM free games, support gog and buy here. The site will continue to develop.

What? You don't like that? That's my favorite part of Christmas (or any other family get together, for that matter). :D
