I've seen several games from GOG posted, and it pains me a little ..

Since there isn't any direct way of opposing piratebay posting of GOG games, I encourage the community to post messages on those torrents message boards to encourage the downloaders to pay for the game if they are satisfied.

"Please, if you've downloaded the game and liked it, encourage the GOG website by keeping these games coming and pay for them ..."

If several of us, users put these messages on Piratebay's GOG games, I'm sure we can influence the downloaders to think twice.
The same was done for the Grimrock's threads, and some downloaders said that they were convinced, and decided to pay for the game they stole for free.

I agree with you, but i know few people in these forums who are sympathising these criminals.

Yeah, that's a reasonable suggestion. I think a lot of people that pirate the older games simply don't know an easier way to get them.

Another option is to ask the piratebay to support GOG.

If someone goes to piratebay with the intention of downloading a non freeware game, comments (if they even bother to read them) won't influence them in the slightest.

Saying that suing them is the wrong answer is a far cry from "sympathizing" with them. There's nothing at all wrong with the OP's suggestion and I doubt much of anyone on either side of the debate would have much of a problem with it.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Some people seem to be influenced when they realize a "non-evil" entity is offering things for sale.

WHY ARE YOU POSTING A LINK TO THE DOWNLOAD ITSELF

WHY.

N0x0ss: they murdered for free.
Fixed.

Anyway, I thought this is already done for a lot of games. Yeah, just checked one for Legend of Grimlock and someone posted "if you like this game, please buy it and support the developers. we need more more good indie games that come drm free." three days ago.

Sometimes it is even included on the torrent page along with information about the game.

But yeah, feel free to do that if you want, can't hurt.
So as you can see, it's an example of what I mean... ^^' It might really be efficient if we try it. We've got nothing to lose, right ?

Well it is time consuming, but otherwise no.
Why would we be on the pirate bay in the first place?

Obviously for completely legal reasons like seeing what they are currently promoting on the front page.

I can only imagine that being a GOG-ers response ... lol. Aren't most indie games DRM-free? Not just the ones released on GOG? ;)
Not this again.
Torrents. Usenet. Etc. Not much you can do mate. I always suggest buying the game instead of pirating copies, buts lets be frank. None of us would be aware of those sites if we didn't actually use them ourselves. So..............
