As anyone can tell you, Steam is being overrun by hundreds of low quality anime smut games which only tarnish it's brand and force good games to struggle more to be noticed inside the pile of stinking garbage.

Is it only a matter of time before GOG opens the floodgates and this store is flooded with smut? What can good upstanding gamers who aren't degenerate sex weirdos do so GOG can remain pure?

I can’t tell if you are serious or not, you know your thread will be locked as soon as they come online.
Me, I don’t care one way or another on smut, can’t see why it would be an issue, just a biological and mechanical process at the end of the day.
Quite with you on most anime though, quite rubbish. Used to like a bit back when it first came out, but it’s all the same now. It’s either emo love stories, or massive eyed girls and tentacles. Never been into jrpgs.
As for gog opening the doors, why not, they are here to make money. Pushing galaxy, selling epic games, it all points to money is the only purpose, and probably not wrong. There was never a moral stance or anything like that anyways.

Why should GOG be censoring so-called "smut"?

Is GOG the Puritan police force from the 1600's?

And if they are, then there are a whole lot of games on GOG right now, already, that should be banned for violating Puritan standards.

One of the terrible things about GOG is that they do ban games for Puritanical reasons (despite also having dirty games too, nevertheless, which just makes them totally incongruent).

They need to stop banning games for Puritanical reasons, not double-down on that horrible policy.

So basically, the opposite of everything the OP says, that's what GOG needs to do. Banning games for Puritanical reasons is awful, not good.

Whenever my mind tends to wander to sex and smut, I've noticed that jerking off takes my mind back to important matters, like video games. So jerk off as often as you can, just to keep your thoughts pure.

Best I can tell Coomer is a slang term to mean a boomer who is into well getting there rocks off to soft core smut.. Unsure about that though as I have seen in recently used for other meanings not nearly as benign

The only problem with porn games is that I don't expect them to be actually good games, the same way porn films aren't exactly likely to be good movies, and I don't exactly like the idea of good games being rejected by GOG, but crappy games with titties being accepted. That said, while we do have some creepy anime porn here, it's not exactly flooding the store.

As for "purity"... there's some really weird stuff out ther, like a dating sim about dating the monsters from DOOM, so ordinary smut seems pretty pure to me :D

What is 'coomer'?

I know some cheap games, for pc and mobiles at least, come with something extra inside, a payload. It can be spyware or resource stealers. Those are the ones I have heard of.

BTW what was called that porn space opera RPG released couple months ago (not Mass Effect)? Seemed pretty good and games like that with good production values wouldn't mind.

Found it: Subverse. Apparently not all that great as previews suggested but probably still better than average garbage.
