--Original announcement--
Piñata Madness is back – meaning excitement, mystery, and exceptional deals on some of our favorite hand-picked titles.

What is Piñata Madness?
For $3, you can buy and smash your own digital Piñata, each holding one of 100+ mystery games worth anywhere from $5.99 all the way up to $44.99.
Visit your Pinata hub, where can buy, open, and see everything Piñata Madness!
Just like real-life Piñatas, they'll bring you joy, surprise, and reward. Unlike real-life Piñatas, ours drop really good games instead of candy – games like Pillars of Eternity, Shadow Warrior 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Victor Vran, and more!
It's a great way to broaden your horizons and try out games you otherwise wouldn't, knowing you're always getting a deal that's worth it. And if you already own every game included in our Piñatas, each game you drop will be a giftable code so you share the joy with your friends.

Weekly Megasale
If you'd rather know exactly you're getting, check out the Weekly Megasale featuring great deals up to -90% on some of our favorite titles including Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and more!

The Piñata Madness and Weekly Megasale last until August 21, 2017, 9:59 PM UTC.
Many thanks for the freebie GOG; as for the pinata, it's nice little sale/game/gamble, but i don't think i'll try it; after all, with a rather limited free time and 7 games in my wishlist, i'd rather buy/play them rather than end up with something i wouldn't normally buy anyway. The weekly megasale is nice though!
I have so many unfinished games but these pinatas always tempt me...
got Her Story and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
what rotten luck
I don't know. I got 4 games that I would have probably never even take a second glance at, so it's my chance to try something new, so I really can't complain much. But it would be nice if they allowed us to convert them to gift codes rather than instantly adding them to the library. I see in the Piñata tracker thread a bunch of games that I already own but not on GOG, so there's a high chance I might end up with a duplicate.
It's has been five hours and I still don't have my pinanta.
Against my better judgment, I bought 3 and got Her Story, World in Conflict and Warlords Battlecry 3. I'm fairly certain I won't touch them.

Rock-Solid-Alibi: waste of money just cheap junk you would never even look at let alone buy
I look at steam and see all these anime nudity and plain anime games and think, "wow what total crap. Who the hell buys this shit?" Then I read your comment and thought it was pretty funny coming from someone with an anime avatar. Now I am not judging or anything. I even like some anime shows that I have watched on netflix.
At this point I'm just posting in this thread because I genuinely enjoy typing the word 'piñata'.

LootHunter: Is Deadlight a sequel of Dying Light? :P
No. There isn't a sequel for Dying Light yet and they are very different games.
Deadlight is a side scrolling platformer with some shooting added into the mix.
Dyling Light is a very good game. Deadlight is meh. I got it free on Xbox Games With Gold. It was mostly worth a playthrough, but has no replayability.
Disappointing selection. Games are often on sale and it would be just cheaper to buy them individually.
This "pinata madness" sale is making me want to replay Viva pinata (360) again. :3

Heroes of Might and Magic III
Republique
World in conflict complete edition

Not bad.
