I just wish GOG would stick with a mascot. :P Or somebody make an image of her holding GOGBear.

GOG-chan works, unless GOG is worried about being associated with 4Chan (x-chan mascots, Murdoch-chan, etc.) and the alt-right.

GOG-chan is an absolutely terrible name. I have no idea why many people are saying it's great.

That's actually a good argument. If this anime girl becomes the official mascot, she needs to be dressed somewhat sluttier though (e.g. schoolgirl uniform with really short skirt).

I like the image. That said, given how some people in the world want to take offense with everything, I don't advise "GOG-chan" as an official name.

First there is the connection with 4chan or 8chan. Second, tacking chan on the end seems like it could be construed as a bit racist if someone wants to call it that.

Looking up popular feminine names, only a few even have G's in them

Megumi
Shigeko
Shungiku
Sugako

Does anyone here know enough Japanese to suggest some ethnically appropriate names that make sense to GoG-ify?

And to disagree with you, I'd be perfectly happy never to see GoGbear again, if that means the servers are always working 100%!
