Huh, she reminds me of Enjiki, the mascot of the UK Gamecube magazine NGC (was N64 before that, Super Play before that).

It's mostly the colour scheme and the general anime-girl-ness of them both. I agree, Enjiki has certainly made the riskier wardrobe choice.
I think the colours are kind of muted in the picture I posted, I suspect it's a photograph of a page of the magazine.
