Every time I look at EA's RPG bundle and I see the Legend of Kyrandia series in it I twitch a little.
The Devolver Hits 3 bundle seems a little flawed. There are 9 games in the bundle, several of which have different editions, and upgrades. To get the full discount, I have to pick 10. The only way to get to ten is to pick base edition + the upgrade to special edition on at least one game?

te_lanus: Seems Tropico 2 is added via Connect but not listed on Connect (sad 4 wasn't part of the deal :P)
Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is included in Tropico Reloaded, both on GOG and on Steam.
Yay! Thanks for another gog connect batch. That's 10 more for my collection. <3

mighty.ape.acct: Devolver Bundles are weird.

All 3 say pick 10 to get max discount but:

#1 contains just 9 individual games + a whole bunch of DLC OR upgrades that I don't want
#2 contains only 6 individual games + the other stuff
#3 contains just 9 individual games + the other stuff

Why are they split like that? Why not just one bundle where you can pick 10 from the whole lot?

Seems really unfair to force customers to buy DLC/upgrades if they don't want them

EndlessWaves: They're hardly forcing you to do anything, it's just an offer. Other than that silly comment I agree with you, although #2 is now Pick 7 with 7 standalone games.

#3 I can sort of understand, it is ten separate products even if one of them is a non-game DLC that I wouldn't be interested in.

#1 is odd though, it's pick 10 but as of writing there are only 9 games in there and no non-bundled DLC, so you'd have to de-select a DLC edition and buy a base edition and DLC upgrade separately to get the discount. That surely can't be intentional.

And it is a touch misleading to title them 'build your own bundle' when you have to buy all of the games to get the full discount, the only choice being whether you want the standard or DLC editions.
It is very misleading. The right way should have been to have a BYOB where you had to pick 10 from ALL available titles. It is confused offerings like this that has kept me from making purchases during this sale. At least the new Connect games have redeemed things a bit. 8 new games added with the rest already owned. If things pick up I might have reason to add another $50 to whatever has already been sitting in my wallet unused so far.
Edit: All better.

I seem to be having issues connecting for Realms of Arkania. [deleted the rest, as it's better now.]

Not a silly comment, just 'lost in translation' :D

What I mean is that you are forced to buy a DLC/upgrade if you want the best discount. It is impossible to do so without buying a DLC/upgrade

I see now that other users have also made comment on this. And the fact that one of the bundles has been amended shows that it is an issue

Anyway, like I said.......... "lost in translation" (even though we're both in english-speaking countries) ha ha... ;)

IDPLAY: I checked again and Tropico 3 via Connect works now for those who have it on Steam with the addon
Yep, worked for me now too

I noticed the same problem. I don't want to buy special editions, because I'm not interested in artbooks or soundtracks. Without special edition upgrades it's impossible to reach the needed amount of games. Even if I had bought the special editions of all games it wouldn't work - only with at least 1 basic game + 1 upgrade we can reach 10 games.
I just noticed this part of the promo FAQ:
Every purchase you make with GOG Wallet funds gets you an extra 10% XP boost.
Because GOG is all about fairness... ;)

This sale definitely takes the cake as their worst, most muddled, boring and bug-ridden so far.

Oh well, at least the monsters are having fun.

You can buy the needed wallet funds first (the exact amount) - it's only one additional step. :)
Has anyone tried that Goliath game? Is it an RPG?

Actually, make that two as I would also have to enable two-step login. ;)
high rated
Why are some games included in areas where getting their best discount is impossible? For example, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is in the Easy Allies Collection for 60% off. However, as part of the Disney bundle it can be bought 75% off. To make matters worse, I'm pretty sure it's been in the Easy Allies Collection since the beginning of the sale, so someone could have bought it then thinking it was the lowest the game would go for this sale.

Also, I really dislike GOG's focus on bundles for sales. I wish I wasn't constantly asked to buy multiple games just to get the discount I would get for the individual titles on other stores.

fronzelneekburm: Looks like someone had a change of heart, I'm not seeing a discount for that particular game any more...
Shoot, guess that qualifies it as a Flash Deal then.

I only noticed this today too. I always expected to see something similar for using GOG Galaxy... perhaps in the next sale.

I was wondering if the games included in multiple bundles go for the same discount. Disappointed the answer is no, and one has to be extra vigilant before making a purchase.
