Happy birthday, young 'un! Since I appear to have arrived early or late to the party and not many are yet or still around, and since the host is on pins and needles, and all goosebumps, I might as well dip my foot in my mouth and come up with an answer.

Best gift? Can't say for sure, but I was incredibly excited when I got Red Alert gifted to me as a kid

Recipe? I'll share my favorite spaghetti dish. The only problem with it is that it's only tasty if you eat it immediately. Something weird happens to the sauce after a while. It doesn't become bad or anything, and it's still good, just not nearly as good when fresh of the stove:

In a small pot : (metric system incoming!)

550ml full cream milk + 125 ml sunflower oil (perhaps olive oil is better?)
25 ml tomato paste
5 ml dry english mustard (ie the powder)
125 g packet of cream of mushroom soup

Blend that mixture in the pot and put it on medium/low heat, and stir occasionally. At the same time cook 500g of spaghetti as you normally would.The sauce will become thick and kinda pinkish, and once it starts to slowly boil it's ready. Then simply add the sauce to the drained spaghetti and enjoy with some cheese on top. It's awesome!

For my last birthday I got a Hakama (I practise Aikido) that was imported from Japan.
I'm not sure it was the best gift I ever got but it definitiely was a lovely surprise!
