Added to Games With No Soundtrack [G-R]:

- Gods Will Be Watching
- Guild 2 Renaissance

Added to Games No Longer On GOG:

- Arma Gold Edition
- Arma: Cold War Assault
- Arma 2: Combined Operations
- Original War - incl. ost (MP3)

If anyone can confirm whether the Arma titles included the soundtrack, I will add that information as well. Thanks!

Only Cold War Assault has the soundtrack as bonus (192 kbit/s CBR MP3).
Just wanted to thank you guys for doing this! =)

Yall might want to remove a few soundtracks from the list since we added some OSTs from TopWare recently :)
The full soundtrack of Daikatana can be found in the data/music directory in MP3 format (and it's quite good BTW, I listen to it frequently).

Thanks, we're at it. :-)

Removing from our lists thanks to the addition of soundtracks to a good number of TopWare games - see this post:

-- Earth 2160
-- Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure (DC)
-- Two Worlds

There's a couple others I'd like to remove, if you get my drift FLACy old boy. But yes, I'll get the TopWare stuff pulled from my duty roster as well.
I can't help but look this over and recall playing Uplink; It's listed in here wrong, as it comes with soundtracks. Of course the soundtracks aren't a separate zip labeled as an OST, rather they are hidden in the extras CD and you need a special ModPlayer to play it (which makes them like 200k or less compared to say 6Mb)

I'd hardly say that makes our entry for it "wrong". Indeed, many games probably have their music files in some format that COULD be extracted and played with extra effort. But the point here is that it doesn't include either a stand-alone soundtrack in a standard audio format for soundtracks (MP3, OGG, WAV), or as part of the game installation in one of those same formats.

I have a MOD player installed because I have a lot of Amiga music in that format. I even have the Relic module installed so that I can play the Homeworld audio files as though they were "normal" audio files. But in neither case are these files that I can just drop into any audio device and play, unlike MP3 or OGG. And that's what this list is devoted to, ultimately.

Not that the information isn't welcome. Just helping you understand the parameters of the list.

I'd like to also add that we don't necessary have all games from GOG's catalogue, and thus have no first hand info on whether the music of a game is somehow accessible if it's not clearly provided in the extra goodies. That's why, additionally to our own research, we rely on GOG members providing such information.

How about alternate system versions (playstaion)? Now I'm not sure if that link includes the licensed Ozar Midrashim or not. Obviously it's invalid if it does.

Those could be alright if they are indeed the same soundtrack as the computer version of the game. Sometimes they are, and sometimes they aren't. But if confirmed as such, they could be viable.

That's almost funny. S3M, XM, MOD and other formats were quite popular and used well before MP3 or OGG was an option. I remember listening to the 13th warrior music on Windows 3.1 back in like 1993... Of course sharing files was on floppy at that time, and CD's were still in their infancy.

But i understand these track sample based modules aren't as popular to listen to, even if they (and the player) take nearly no space and no processing power to generate. What's really funny is i recognized most of the music in Uplink from listening to it years before. I really wish i could add more tracks and make the experience even more fun, or add the FBI and other addons, but those don't work. :(
