Looks as if this could turn out to be actually good or half-decent at least?
Also: Carl Weathers & Werner Herzog.
It looks more than a bit Firefly-ish to me. Though I guess it's more because any kind of space western would make me feel that.

Anyway, the trailer looks ok. Nothing great, nothing mind blowing, nothing immediately bad about it either. Just ok. I wish there was more to it. Good or bad, Star Wars should never feel so... pedestrian. Also, I still don't get why isn't this simply a Boba Fett show, instead of being about some other guy who just happens to also be a bounty hunter and wears mandalorian armor.
looks a bit poo for a subscription only thing.

not for me until it hits cheap dvd box sets.
Making an entire movie about a character who says zero lines in the original trilogy, sounds smart.

Impressive... Every word in that sentence was wrong.

1. This is a TV series.
2. As I already mentioned - this is not Boba Fett. It's a new guy who never appeared in the movies.
3. Boba Fett did have a few lines.

- It's not a movie.
- It's not about Boba Fett.

I find TV series better than movies these days so maybe this is also going to be better than the Disney Wars movies... (or maybe not, we'll see)
He was great in the Saw movies.

Or am I thinking of Costas Mandylor?
I have to say, this is probably the Star Wars show I'm least interested in. The Obi-Wan series with McGregor they just announced is definately more exciting to me (as you could probably guess by my avatar), and the Cassian Andor show as well since I really liked Rogue One and I'm absolutely on board with more Star Wars stories like it.

People accused George Lucas of killing Star Wars, Disney said hold my beer and fucked up Star Wars so bad that Jar Jar Binks looks like a funny addition to the series in contrast to recent stuff.

Needless to say, I'm as disinterested in this as I am in the Marvel movies, which I also enjoyed before Disney.

To be fair, Disney and Lucas right now have the exact same 50/50 good to bad Star Wars movies ratio (yes, I liked the Solo movie). And I mostly liked the Rebels tv series and at least some of the books and comics published under Disney.

Really, it's only the sequels and everything set in the sequels time frame that Disney utterly fails at. Stuff that's set before the originals and between episodes IV and V is actually mostly pretty decent.
Frankly, I'm surprised it has taken them this long to create an actual Star Wars series - none of that kids CGI BS. To me that makes much more sense as they'll actually have time to tell stories.

I'm definitely going to give Disney+ a try just to see what it's like. It's not like $7 for at least one month will break the bank.
There's just too many unknown variables, not to mention nothing concrete other than they have the scripts and begin shooting next year to be genuinely excited about the Obi-Wan series, imo.

The Mandalorian however looks like it could be the serial equivalent (tone-wise) to Rogue One, which I think, so far is the only good true Star Wars movie post-Disney buyout.

low rated
If they can keep the virtue signalling gender politics and mary sue's out of this one, I'll take it. The trailer looks good.
