I do enjoy collecting "removed from catalog" titles... but 2/5 episodes done and $30?
You know it will be abandoned here.
I'll pass.

I'm trying to imagine the physics of that.
I'd think even someone with massive leg muscles would have trouble kicking a whale anywhere.
You could kick a whale sure, but it's not going to move, down up or anywhere else.

Gah, this grinds my gears a bit. Would have enjoyed a DRM-free copy of the survival mode alone. Guess they no longer wanted their product DRM-free. Humble only sells Steam keys. *shrug*

"Experience a mature storyline, rich world, cast of memorable characters, and hours of narrative gameplay in the Survival Story mode with a riveting storyline that advances at your pace."

So... yes it was. A few years ago. To 6 966 people. Which they took money from.
Need one more example of people poisoning the Kickstarter well? Here you go. Glad I didn't buy into their scam, but for another reason: They promised ingame exclusives.

What sucks is when these games leave EA while still unfinished, like The Long Dark did in some ways. Not everyone researches everything before they buy it, so when they see that it fully released they wouldn't be wrong to assume that that means the story mode is finished.
On an unrelated note, for anyone unaware, the Long Dark occasionally has holiday related events that only seem to happen in the Steam version and not the GOG version. Guess that's definitely not changing now. Just fyi.

Haha, this is glorious!
gog: gets the game removed from the store, no goodbye discount
Steam: gets an all-time-low 75% discount that very same weekend
Well done, chaps! You sure showed all those suckers who panic-bought your shitty game at full price! A true masterclass in treating gog customers as second class - and then spitting them in the face for good measure.

Now I am glad I did not cave and bought it. Let's see what will happen in the future (IF there is any future for this game).

I was interested, and it was on my GOG wishlist. Now I'm not interested, and it's not on my Steam wishlist. Even at the sale price, I have already moved on.

I've owned it for quite awhile. The sandbox was ton's of fun on my old, nvidia, based laptop. Last time I tried to play on my newer AMD based laptop, it was a no go. I haven't tried in a bit.
It will be interesting to see if the whole "I'll still get updates" thing works out.
