rampancy: So you didn't encounter any issues related to multi-core CPUs? I've read that that was a big problem with SC3K.
I did find one crash so far :( I updated my prognosis in the original post.

Distro: Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64-bit
Kernel version: 4.4.0-31
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 367.27
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.14 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: Install & play.
If using PlayOnLinux, start the game from/create shortcut for "Dead Space.exe"
How well does it run: Almost perfect
Details: Played for a while, no issues with it so far except that it messes up display brightness then fails to restore original settings on exit like some other games (corrected the same way as for those other games - just open the "NVIDIA X Server Settings" tool after playing).

However there are some issues with the game itself that need some tweaks to fix (it's borderline unplayable without). Details here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=232050455

Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled.

Install notes: I've obviously set a 32-bit prefix.
After installation was completed I installed PhysX_9.09.0408_SystemSoftware.exe and vcredist_x86.exe form the game's redist folder. Also I set winetricks strictdrawordering=enabled else the videos play sound but they appear black.

How well does it run: Perfect.

Details: I haven't had much time to test it. I checked only the character creation and the beginning of the gameplay. I'll play it further in the coming days.

EDIT: To be more precise, the installer produced the usual error message, but after clicking OK the installation was succeful.

I only looked at a couple of the linked bug reports, but you may be better of with a 1.9.10+ staging build of Wine with this game. At any rate let us know how you make out.

If I experience problems in the game, I'll consider it.

According to the Wine developers staging version contains new test features, which are more luckily to break. Generally in software I go with the more stable version, so I have never used staging!
I've just rememberd Gydion asked us to re-post here our reports in the old thread, so here I go:

Game: Lumino City (GOG-4 version)
Installer MD5: e73a4aebe4ea2c2ecb8d9f3fd97c967e setup_lumino_city_2.1.0.4.exe
WineHQ AppDB link: N/A

Distro: Arch Linux 64 bits
Kernel version: 4.5.1-1
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary, v364.19
Wine version tested: regular Wine v1.9.9

Installation: Installs OK with GOG's installer (it spews a couple of error messages at the end of the process, but they didn't seem to affect the installation in any discernible way)
How well does it run: Perfect
Details: It crashed once during my playthrough, but couldn't further reproduce the issue.

At the end of your game launch script you can add "nvidia-settings -l" (without quotes), which restores the brightness to it's original setting. :)
Game: Uprising: Join or Die

Installer MD5s: setup_uprising_2.1.0.12.exe = d1948ec88405ee54f4ae9d6830bed651

WineHQ AppDB link: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=9215
CodeWeavers link: n/a

Distro: Mac OS X El Capitain 10.11.5
Kernel version: Darwin 15.4.0 (Build 15F34)
Graphics card: Intel HD 5000 Graphics
Graphics driver & version: OS Default
Wine version(s) tested: wine-staging 1.9.14 / WINE 1.9.14 / CX 15.1 via Wineskin

Install notes:
- After finishing the installation, execute the following in winetricks:
mwo=disable UseGLSL=disable

- Then make the following changes in winecfg:
Graphics > Enable "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows"
Libraries > Add ddrawex.dll and set it to "Native"
Applications > Set Windows version to Windows 98

- To clear up potential issues with music playback, open SMACKW32.DLL in a hex editor (TextEdit in OS X also works), search for WINMM.dll and replace the "MM" with "32" (so it's changed to WIN32.dll). Go to the game's base install folder and rename winmm.dll to win32.dll. (n.b. I'm still not 100% convinced that this has fully enabled music in the game, yet.)

How well does it run: Almost perfectly...widescreen resolutions/high resolutions are supported through nglide_config.exe.

Details:
Setting UseGLSL=disable may fix some crashing errors; Adding ddrawex.dll as a native override in winecfg solves some improper renderings of the splash screen that I believe may be OS X specific. Unfortunately, the post-mission results screen doesn't render properly (maybe corrupted or displayed as a black screen) after the completion of a mission. Setting MWO=disable may help with the game becoming unresponsive to mouse input.

Make sure that csmt is disabled, too (unless you're working with a WINE engine version from CodeWeavers' own work).

Edit: For OS X users, if you're having persistent issues with graphics corruption/flickering with the game, try running it with the patched version of wine-staging 1.7.52 available here: http://portingteam.com/topic/10573-os-x-1011-el-capitan-flickering-screen-still-present/#entry104508

Edit 2: Also for OS X users, if you are still experiencing issues with mouse control, disconnect any extra monitors, and disable any USB driver software like USB Overdrive.

adamhm: Game: Dead Space
I too started playing this, just using vanilla wine 1.9.12 and playing with an xbone controller.

Wine gamepad support leaves a lot to be desired and the analogue triggers are a constant source of trouble. This game, like several others, mistakes them for the axis of the right stick. Since the triggers are normally fully released the game ends up constantly looking up and rotating. There are registry settings for remapping the axis and a configuration file to correct the order of buttons, but if there is a way at all to bind the triggers to button actions, I didn't find it. There often isn't.

Fortunately the game also supports XInput, and the results are pretty good using x360ce. It also has a nice AntiDeadZone feature that comes in handy here.

When using XInput you'll need to create an empty file that the game sees as C:\users\<username>\My Documents\Electronic Arts\Dead Space\joypad.txt or it behaves in strange ways, including the rotation issue above.

Also, one would think you would want to use a hex editor or something, and not a text editor? I suppose if TextEdit actually works though...

Installation: Installs OK (apart from the usual error messages at the end of the process)
How well does it run: Perfect, apparently
Details: The CPU usage seems strangely high for this game. I experienced some short delays during gameplay, usually after a spoken line (be it from dialogue, or a description by the narrator). Don't know whether they're an effect of the aforementioned high CPU usage, are caused by Wine for another reason, or they also happen when playing natively on Windows. However, as mildly annoying as I've found them they don't prevent you from playing the game at all.
