Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 364.19
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.10 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: Requires xact (install DirectX 9 Modern in CrossOver)
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "VanHelsing.exe"
How well does it run: Perfect
Details: All seems to run perfectly but I have only played the game for a short while so far, using the OpenGL renderer and max settings (but did not test the textures DLC - haven't downloaded that yet). Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled (not that CSMT will make much difference using OpenGL).
Game: Homeworld Remastered Collection

Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 364.19
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.10 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: Requires dotnet40 (install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 in CrossOver)
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "Launcher.exe"
How well does it run: Perfect (remastered versions only)
Details: Have only played through the tutorials and starting new game but it seems to work perfectly so far.

The classic versions of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 both seem to work ok too, but I had to start Homeworld.exe directly with the command line parameter /noglddraw otherwise it would fail to launch with the error: "couldn't initialize default rendering system". Homeworld Classic also seems to hang on exit if CSMT is enabled.

Tested with virtual desktop enabled.
Game: Unreal Gold
Installer MD5: e19566e9bbda7029efcc179b8dd39d61 setup_unreal_gold_2.0.0.6.exe
WineHQ AppDB link: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=89
CodeWeavers link: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/unreal

Distro: Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64bit
Kernel version: 3.19.0-58
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 367.27
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.13 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: After installing the game, install the Oldunreal 227i patch (http://www.oldunreal.com/oldunrealpatches.html - note this also includes a native Linux version, see below).
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "Unreal.exe"
Use the OpenGL renderer + OpenAL audio.
How well does it run: Almost perfect
Details: The game modifies the display brightness and fails to reset it on exiting; to reset it back to normal just open NVIDIA X Server Settings (have not tested to see if this problem also occurs on systems with AMD GPUs). Aside from that it appears to run perfectly, although I've only played for a short while. Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled.

Native Linux port
The 227i patch includes Linux binaries for the game, so you don't need to run it through Wine (although you do still need to use Wine for the initial install). Once installed you can then move the Unreal directory out of the Wine prefix and run it natively using UnrealLinux.bin

You will probably need to install some libraries to get it working - on my system I found that I needed the libalut and libfmod libraries. These (along with some other libraries that may be needed) are also bundled with patch 227i and can be found in the archive "lin_convenience_libs.tar.bz2" in the Help directory - just extract the libraries you need to the System directory.
Game: Unreal Tournament GOTY
Installer MD5: 0d25ec835648710a098aff7106187f38 setup_ut_goty_2.0.0.5.exe
WineHQ AppDB link: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=90
CodeWeavers link: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/unreal-tournament

Distro: Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64bit
Kernel version: 3.19.0-58
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 367.27
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.13 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: After installing, download & install the enhanced OpenGL renderer from http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ and select it when you run the game.
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "UnrealTournament.exe"
How well does it run: Almost perfect
Details: As with Unreal, this game modifies the display brightness and fails to reset it on exiting; to reset it back to normal just open NVIDIA X Server Settings (have not tested to see if this problem also occurs on systems with AMD GPUs). Also the game occasionally crashes on start, like XIII does. Aside from that it appears to run perfectly, although I've only played for a short while. Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled.

Native Linux port
There is a native Linux port of Unreal Tournament. Follow the details & instructions provided here to obtain and install it: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Unreal_Tournament

Using the native port some further configuration may be needed. I also needed to install osspd-pulseaudio to get sound working.
Game: Unreal 2: The Awakening Special Edition
Installer MD5: 3b157d88da108e4cea15b1d35ff06c5a setup_unreal2_se_2.0.0.5.exe
WineHQ AppDB link: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1306

Distro: Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64bit
Kernel version: 3.19.0-58
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 367.27
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.13 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: After installing the game, remove the .con files from the Music directory - if this isn't done then the game will crash.
Requires UseGLSL set to disabled or there will be stuttering & some rendering issues
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "Unreal2.exe"
How well does it run: Quite well
Details: Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled - setting "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" was required. Have only played for a short while but seems to run ok. Sometimes causes the display brightness to get messed up as for Unreal & Unreal Tournament (and when this happens it's corrected the same way), but not always.
Game: Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition

Kernel version: 3.19.0-58
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
Graphics driver & version: Proprietary 367.27
Wine version(s) tested: Wine Staging 1.9.13 via PlayOnLinux, CrossOver 15.1.0

Install notes: Install & play.
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "UT2004.exe"
How well does it run:
Details: Have only tested for a short while. Like Unreal 2, this game sometimes (but not always) modifies the display brightness and fails to reset it on exiting; to reset it back to normal just open NVIDIA X Server Settings (have not tested to see if this problem also occurs on systems with AMD GPUs). Tested with virtual desktop and CSMT enabled - setting "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" was required.

Native Linux port
As with Unreal and UT99, there is a native Linux port available. Details can be found here: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Unreal_Tournament_2004

I needed to add some libraries to get it to run (libopenal as "openal.so", SDL1.2) and needed to install libstdc++5
Game: Deus Ex GOTY
Installer MD5: 92e9e6a33642f9e6c41cb24055df9b3c setup_deus_ex_goty_1.112fm(revision_1.3.1)_(17719).exe
WineHQ AppDB link: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=186

Distro: Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit
Kernel version: 4.13.0-32
Graphics card: AMD RX 480 8GB
Graphics driver & version: Open source, with Mesa 17.3.2 from Padoka's stable Mesa PPA
Wine version(s) tested: Wine 3.0 (with CSMT enabled)

Install notes: After installing the game, install "Deus Exe" v8.1 from http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/
and the OpenGL renderer from http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/
Start the game from/create shortcut for "deusex.exe"
How well does it run: Perfect (with Deus Exe)
Details: You will probably need to reset your original display gamma settings using xgamma after playing. The original .exe has a habit of crashing on start sometimes (didn't test much with the original .exe beyond starting the game) but this doesn't seem to happen with Deus Exe. Aside from that the game runs perfectly. If running the game with virtual desktop enabled you must also set "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows".

Wine wrapper
I have put together a Linux Wine wrapper for this game. For more information, see the release thread in the game's forum: https://www.gog.com/forum/deus_ex_series/deus_ex_for_linux

Details: Have only played for a short while but encountered no major problems - only that it messes around with display brightness & doesn't reset it on exiting (just open NVIDIA X Server Settings after playing to return it to normal). Tested with virtual desktop enabled. Game will hang on exit if CSMT is enabled.

Install notes: Just install & play.
If using CrossOver, disable "Performance Enhanced Graphics" (CSMT)
If using PlayOnLinux, run the game from/create a shortcut for "vampire.exe"
How well does it run: Quite well
Details: Only played for a short while but the game appears to run mostly fine so far - only minor graphical glitches so far (e.g. some objects/geometry disappear when close to the edges of the display). Tested with virtual desktop enabled. There was some flickering in cutscenes if CSMT was enabled.

One of us did. Please do repost in here. My preference for post formatting is this, but either way.

*blinks* Wow, indeed.
...erm, yeah, nope, don't have any excuse or reasoning for how I could've missed that either. Oh well, thanks for pointing it out gently, and repost coming up. :) (I'll take a closer look at your preferred format for any future postings.)

edit: trying to post, but it hangs on "processing". Is there some kind of duplicate-protection (maybe for low-rep accounts), or just a random forum glitch? I'll try again in a couple of hours...

final edit: There definitely was some kind of dupe protection going on with posting. Finally worked around it by posting just the first two lines, and then putting in the rest on an edit.

I wasn't bothered by it. I think I will do a reply/notification post for anyone who has an entry in the old thread, but hasn't posted since. Should help them see it.

Typically it's because of incorrect quote tags. You also can't quote a post greater than what's in this thread as I found out when updating the OP.
Anyone tried Black Moon Chronicles yet?
