I was so shitfaced that I didn't care about the 500 or so mosquitoes feasting on my flesh that night as I was wrapped around a tree, puking my guts up and trying not to fall into said puke. We were camping.

I found out last week that absinthe is way the fuck overrated.

The thing about absinthe is really two things: One, it contains opium, two it's licorice based. If you like neither, there's no point in absinthe. :)

It's also illegal here in the States, however the powers that be have no problem handing out scripts for oxycontin and getting people hooked, then cutting them dry and said people become heroin addicts. (I have a family member who worked in a drug rehab and knows all about why there's a huge epidemic of H bomb users these days here in the States)

Am I sounding cynical? Sorry. I forgot to put on my bullshit-protectors this morning. Long week. Yes, I feel for these people, because heroin is literally cheaper for many of them than buying oxycontin. And what does that tell you? And for the record, never touched the H bomb myself and used to despise junkies.
