nah york will be fine - some of the people will have a hard time as a result, but this place has been dealing with this crap for over 1000 years, so its nowt new - just unexpected right now.

you'll see in the photos, so many houses (near the river) have staircases leading up to them, AND a waled floodgate, AND thats on top of a five foot staircase fromthe river bank AND thats on top of a 12-15 foot drop to where the river usually is. insurance companies will have to pay out if anyone gets dripped!

sadly though, this is when the drowning man is at his peak (local serial killer - drowns people in the river), and also when drunks are at their worst for getting in the river when pissed up! One thing going for a paddle off york beach when youve had one too many, another going right in! I learned to swim in that thing and it is not forgiving at all!

holy crap, stay dry! Is that first one the horse track? 0.o And more crazy is the lady posting that York as run out of road closed signs and people just have to be mindful.
