Ah, Janus, the two faced god. He is for beginnings.

What specifically do you want to know? there is a lot of stuff you can readily find online. I'm sure I have books somewhere I can dig up with more info if you'd like.

Janus is VERY roman, not really greek, but I can double check this.

ALL deities from non Abrhamic religions have some form of animal embodiment, or failing that some symbolic "utensil" that can be associated with them. Can't find one of Janus.

And yes - almost entirely Romanic (though actually based upon a lesser Asian deity it seems according to my own parhcment archives (yes, real things - was an archaologist so have some really odd stuff about).

I will see what I can dig up. :) I enjoy roman history a lot so this will be fun.

Sorry to jump in here, but I believe one of the symbols associated with Janus is a key.

As for beginnings and endings, only the Indian deity Kali pops into my head at the moment, but it's late, so sorry if I've missed the entire gist of this discussion.
