pulls out easel and paints to make a cave painting :) Hope the cave is doing awesome it sits really well while I try to capture it's good side ;)
I'm feeling just a tad burnt out (again) on gaming, I'm getting more annoyed by the annoying bits than usual and the enjoyable bits just aren't as enjoyable as they usually are. I've got some reading to catch up on anyway and heck, maybe I'll watch a movie for the first time in a year or two.

Any coders/programmers that lay eyes on this, any language recommendations? I'm a complete newbie to the stuff under the hood, learning a bit of HTML and Ruby, and I'm just wondering if there is any specific language worth focusing on (and is fairly accessible) over the others. I'm not looking to be a full time programmer but it's definitely a skill set worth having.
Well, still no internet here (for whatever reason my phone wont tether to my laptop properly - seems to be a common issue as well - no idea how it did it for three years. O____o).

So, right now I'm sat on a bench outside of the library - which has blocked EVERYTHING on the damned net - including GOG and my bank!

Thankfully, Galaxy client still works* (must be suing some different ports or something - I dunno!

So... INABIT!

Edit: * though I cant download any games! GAGH!

Thanks for the update anyway. Sorry to hear that you are still having these issues.

We will be glad when you can be back regularly. You are definitely missed!

That is really unfortunate, reliable internet is certainly essential these days so I hope whatever issue you're having with the tethering gets resolved soon and you're back online in a regular capacity.

Also who would have thought that of all things the Galaxy client beta would be reliable but not being able to download any games through it makes its moot I guess.
do you think that chuck norris has a gog account. and if yes, then how often does he use gog/buy games on gog?

Chuck norris doesnt buy games, the games willingly give themselves to him.

Python > Ruby. HTML is very simple. CSS is a bit more involved. Javascript is overused everywhere. Not sure where your focus is, but Python is useful outside of web-type things.

Thanks for that bit of info!

I'm looking a bit towards being able to create and self maintain (within reason) my own website(s), without having to rely on something like Weebly, as well as some lightweight game making in the future (ie: simple text based point & click games like Maker's Eden).

I think you can make it DRM-Free with the sourceport Arx Libertatis, so you might want to check it out.

Yeah, when you run that source port it's probably going to be effectively DRM free, I was going to use it because groovy, stable, bug-fixed, spiffy gfx source port anyway though TBH
Hmpf, too much repeats in the summer sale now, for my taste. Since mid-sale the whole event has become utterly boring.

You'd be very happy about the Internet connection at your current state, but not so much about the disposable income, I guess ;-)
