apehater: ...
Yes, also this initial day of the Summer Sale brought some nice discounts on nice games, though I'm not so thrilled by the 66% off bundles. We had better discounts in the past for bundles.

EDIT: Sachys is right, that we've got more and more overpriced games in the catalogue. It makes discounts look fantastic, where they aren't.

DeMignon: Yep, it seems so :-/ Might be connected to the damn regional pricing.

Sachys: GOOD NEWS!

Coming soon: 50% extra added on all prices in the GOG summer sale...

This site-wide price hike will only be available for the next 18 days, so grab your overpriced games NOW!

...except in Russia, where we will be paying people to add games to their account!
sounds jealous to me
EDITED AND UPDATED FOR CLARIFICATION AND TO PREVENT THE UNWASHED MASSES FROM COMMITTING GENOCIDE ON RODENTS:

Galaxy is the cause of my pc randomly rebooting, and across 2 separate OS installs I've witnessed it chew through over 6 gb of memory on several occasions when downloading multiple items. Just something to be aware of, and yes, I did submit bug reports.

The memory leak issue is pretty common with alpha/beta software, so I'm not too assed about it, just a mention to those of you who rely on Galaxy heavily prior to Official Launch of it.

Leucius: Just an FYI for those of you considering trying Galaxy: It's the cause of pc's randomly rebooting without provocation. I suspect a massive memory leak based on personal observation and googling. Should be fixed soonish, I would think, just something to be aware of.
You'd better supply some source for that, matey.

Do a quick google search of "gog galaxy memory leak" - As I said it's based on my personal observation as well as googling. Whenever I have Galaxy installed and I attempt to install games, it will reboot my pc when it's running. It's happened no less than 4 times across 2 different OS's where there was never any incident of my pc rebooting on its own.

Yes, I've checked for viruses, yes I've checked for malware. Yes, I checked to see if others are having this issue and lo and behold, they are.

Given the fact that since uninstalling Galaxy after the last random pc reboot there has been no further reboots of my pc, I think it's safe to say given my experience, as well as others' experience, Galaxy has a memory leak.

Satisfied?

No.

I did a quick search and found 2 mentions of a Galaxy memory leak on the first 2 pages of google search results.

Both of the results were from the closed alpha - before the release of the open beta. One of the 2 results was GOG's own changelist saying they've fixed a memory leak.

So, again, what's your source? And what version of Galaxy are you running? If it was a memory leak, it would affect people like me who keep Galaxy open all the time and install games once a day or more.

Don't go spreading unfounded rumors. If it's not unfounded, then state your sources and link to them. If it's just your personal experience, then post a bug report and perhaps start a thread saying, "I'm experiencing this. Anyone else?"

Hey, guess what? I have documented evidence that galaxy caused my computer to reboot, based on logic and deduction. I removed Galaxy and my computer stopped rebooting. That solidifies my speculation that Galaxy causes certain pc's to reboot, despite your claims that it does not. Empirical evidence cannot be disputed when the only thing that changed was the removal of the Galaxy software.

I understand you're hard in the GOG camp, hell, I am too, which makes me surprised that you're acting like I put your titty in a manual clotheswasher over it. As far as I know, I've never done anything to you. So please, stop acting like a douche.

EDIT: Also, I had Galaxy set to automatically submit a bug report if anything bad happened, so I'm sure they already know on my setup this has happened multiple times.

You do realize that people have different set ups than yours? I have a memory leak that in particular does come from Galaxy and when I have it off my computer has no issues whatsoever.

When reporting a bug like "causes your PC to reboot," you should provide some links to sources or frame the thing as, "I'm experiencing this. Anyone else?"

There's a big difference between that and just stating something as if it is fact without any backup.

Plus, he still hasn't provided any links. He told me what to search, and I did, and I didn't find what he said was there.

There's good and bad ways of reporting problems. I'm suggesting better ways.

What's on the telly? I'm hungry!
Can I ask?

Why do people hate Jurassic Park 3? Personally I found it alot better then The Lost World. Because I like Alan better then Jeff Goldbloom's character.

And I did not mind the more simpler story in JP3. And it introduced more new dinosaurs than the last one did (just the little compy ones)

I liked Jurassic Park 3, was not a big fan of The Lost World.
Happy Weekend everyone!
