BillyMaysFan59: I'm thinking of starting IWD over for that very reason, seems like my party (and my planning) could have been a lot better.

Leucius: Yeah... That's the thing with those games. Party creation is not for the faint of heart :)
I found some helpful advice for party creation in the Steam forums. Hopefully if I follow it I'll be able to play the prologue without the hordes of monsters critical-hitting my collective posterior. :)

Yes, that's exactly what I intend to do when I try those classic party building rpgs again. I did take some notes from a thread here in the community section of GoG for one of them
no internet right now.

this is not a badly written haiku, but a point to note.

Well then...
First time I discovered Humbo Bundo deal! Need to scramble some cash!!!
Today I finally made it to Chapter 1 in IWD.

Sweet! I want to give this game another shot, but I'm hard pressed for gaming time these days with the bulk of it going to SW:TOR and GW2.
Last night I took a break from IWD to play some Thief 2. Thought I was going to finish that game sooner, but I've been stuck on "Casing the Joint". Finally found the secret stairway so the mission is basically "complete" but I really want to complete that optional objective before moving on to the next level. I'll have to chew on that for a bit....
any clue if chud 2 had a german release?
So whats the big deal with this movie, The Big Lebowski?

It's simply one of the better movies of the late 90's/early 2000's imo. Worth checking out, at the very least.

Well thats an understatement, the movie is one of the Coen Brothers best comedy capers and endlessly quotable. There aren't many movies that have a whole festival dedicated to them every year, the movie is a true classic IMO and holds up well even after multiple viewings. :)

My experience looking through ads of bands looking for a vocalist:

Male singer: You must meet all of the following requirements to receive a reply, much less an actual audition:
1: Must be between the ages of 18 and 25
2: Must be tall and handsome with perfect teeth and hair
3: Must have a full time well paying job (but be available at all times) and willing to help cover expenses
4: Must have transportation and be willing to haul equipment and/or other band members around
5: Must have at least 5 years of verifiable pro level experience
6: Must have at least 3 albums of professionally recorded material and 10 full length live videos
7: Must have at least a 3 octave vocal range and be able to sing cleanly and scream and growl
8: Must be dedicated (aka willing to shoulder most of the expenses, do most of the writing, never have your own opinion etc)

Female singer: You must meet the following requirements to get the gig:
1: Must be female
2: Don't be not female
3: See requirements 1 & 2

Of course those ads are at least better than the ones where the band can't figure out what they're supposed to sound like.
"We're like a mix of the Delfonics, and Danzig, and Britney Spears, and Mayhem, and Mozart, and Bruno Mars, and Testament, and Dean Martin, and Bauhaus, and Seeed, and Willie Nelson, and Eat Your Makeup, and My Chemical Romance, and Etta James and Van Halen and N.W.A., but with a really original twist!"

Sarcasm rooted (unfortunately) in truth haha. The saddest part is we're not talking about bands that are already signed and who have had some success already, no those ads are by people who are either currently nobodies, bands that have released one song (that didn't sell a single copy but got reviewed by a couple of small blogs) or by bands that sold all of ten albums about twenty years ago.
