These are the new standard avatars for users who did not set up one of their own (coming in different colors, I have seen green, blue, yellow and purple up until now). Seems like the grey man is history.

I'm not so sure that's correct though. Look at this thread - http://www.gog.com/forum/general/pc_gamers_are_you_really_better_off_now_than_15_years_ago/page1. The OP started out with the regular grey guy avatar, then it changed. Also, there are people who signed up years ago whose avatars are now the coloured MSN things.

yeah it changed because the old grey one which was the standard one for users who did not set one changed. Same goes for a lot of people who signed years ago. They never set up an avatar of their own and still had the default one. So now that the default one is changed they also have the new default one.
Or am I missing something?

Austrobogulator: There still seem to be people with MSN default avatars.
I know that some members here have the old grey one set as their own avatar just because and now this will make them different from the ones without an avatar. So everyone else seems to have one of the new colorful default ones. Don't know why gog changed the default avatar but yeah to colors :D
