moonshineshadow: It was awesome!
(But I admit being a fan of Gothic and Risen games).

I am not good at reviews, but let me say, I enjoyed the story, the quests and the atmosphere of the game. And for me the combat system was ok. I had many fun hours and it was worth buying it. I have to add that I got the German boxed edition which does not require steam to play so I could enjoy it properly during my holidays where I had not internet connection :D

NoNewTaleToTell: Good to hear! Assuming my system can handle it, I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Is the boxed version DRM-free?
The German boxed version was "DRM free", since Deep Silver wanted us to buy the game and not have an uproar again like with Risen 2 when it came with Steam only :D
I can's say anything about the versions in other countries I simply do not know. As for the boxed version... it required the dvd to start the game, which was not problem for me since I don't mind that.

Heh, I've somehow managed to successfully ignore this thread until now because I presumed that it's somebody's giveaway thread that has just escalated. :P

Elmofongo: Starcraft 1 Brood War Units are ridiculously overpowered.
I also feel this way when I play singleplayer but I trust that what pracitcally functions as an exploit against AI can't possibly be badly balanced in a game that is widely considered (one of) the best competitive game(s) of all time and has been around for more than fifteen years.

Heh, expect this thread to become my personal mental garbage dump very soon.

"A", and please don't tell me that it isn't a number, for algebra teachers the world wide, will disagree that it can't be synonymous with one, and even a specific one at times. It can be any number, so it must certainly be yours. :-)

+1 for a very good answer and not using the overly used and abused X.

"X" terrified me, as I'm getting loaded and didn't want to get into that X=10 thing, given Roman numerals :-)

A is a number in hexadecimal, in any number system above base 10 really...

Yes, different bases could give it a value, as could the x in another, but it still stands as a variable, not a literal value.

Man placed the corresponding values on each, and without a domain or range being identified in the initial premise, variable it is, thus anything :-) "A" could as easily stand for my neighbor's dog, as a number or value.
