That reminds me, I have this Pathfinder RPG set of rules and no one to game with. : /
When we are talking about pen and paper boargame RPGs, any recommendation to play as a newbie? I am not much of a medieval fantasy person (aka DnD etc.) so I have been looking on the Call of Chulu ones, maybe the WoW rpg or the Fallout one even. Is it possible to make up your own pen and paper rpg? (Also another minus is that I have no friends to play with lol)
So far Next Gen Graphics (PS4 and XBONE) does not feel truly next gen after seeing the games coming out so far they are nothing like the tech demos shown in past E3s especially these 2 for Playstation 4:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j5xxi6cjjU

Especially considering that most of the games released are just Multiplatform games that are versions of them for Xbox 360 and PS3. (Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquistion, Call of Duty Advance Warfare)

But mabye its still too early. The only game I am hoping for to be true showpiece of Graphics is Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and given the fact that it will be exclusive to PS4 so they are focusing on 1 console.

Hopefully Uncharted 4 graphics will be almost if not exactly as shown in the 2 tech demos I showed.

If there is a Saints Row 5 I really really really hope they don't waste a voice slot on Laura Bailey again. I'd love if they brought back the Russian voice, kept the French voice and found one other female voice, there is absolutely no need for Laura Bailey to make yet another appearance, I don't care that she has been the "default" female voice of the previous games. At the very least I hope they keep at least one interesting female voice like they've had in Saints Row: The Third/Saints Row: IV. Of course with my luck that means that Laura Bailey will take up all three female voice slots.

You don't enjoy medieval fantasy but are looking at the WoW RPG? I'm curious as to how you define the WoW RPG then.Heroic Fantasy? High Fantasy?

If you want to make your own rpg then I'd recommend using some basic rulesets like GURPS, Pathfinder, or even AD&D 3 or 3.X Edition. Worldbuilding can either come before, at the same time, or after. What sort of rpg world do you envision?

I do actually enjoy WoW which is the only exception if it's seen as "medieval fantasy". Both Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft has been games I enjoy. However if it's worth to give any of the others a shot, I'm up for that as well.

If I were to make my own RPG I would have a bit unsual setting, perhaps a steampunk wild west one? Haven't really thought of any concept yet.
So, I've been thinking about the new Groupees bundle, and I am only interested in Quest for Infamy, which means I'd be paying $4 for them. Any of you think it's worth it for that game alone?

Edit: The Quest for Glory games are one of my all time favorites, though they have lost a little luster over the years.

I'm about to try the demo for Alpha Prime, another FPS with mixed ratings (leaning toward negative) that is 49 cents on sale on Steam. If I choose to buy it it'll be the third of its kind in a little more than a month with Legendary and Dementium II HD being the others. I got about an hour/hour and a half out of Legendary (and may return to it one day, I disliked the checkpoints, everything else was decent) so I got my moneys worth out of it, Dementium II HD was a bust though. I don't know why but I like giving mixed/poorly rated games a chance (if they're around a dollar or less).
*Yawns* Good morning, fellow hermits.
Good morning!

I gave Alpha Prime a few minutes try. Graphically it looks great (considering its age) but I'm not so sure about the gameplay, I only took on a few enemies before quitting, but the combat feels weightless and the movement in general feels...off. I love the breakable glass though, it's detailed and I spent two minutes having fun smashing a window apart with a hammer. Maybe I'll get the game and just pretend it's Window Smashing Simulator 2015.
Anybody got any good ideas of dystopic movies / animations / games etc (not books) that cover mind control / manipulation / brainwashing / propaganda / interrogation/ torture by the stablishment.
Really looking for off thebeat stuff - rather than the usual suspects (ie 1984, V, Equilibrium, Cypher etc).

even stuff fringing on it would be good!

reason is, I'm doing a visual library reasearch for Pantheons next EP cover - want to see whats been done (and hopefully avoid common "bad" cliches).

yeah... you really missed what I was saying didnt you...
So I bought Alpha Prime based on the demo. It looks like it was made in Doom 3's engine, which honestly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Gameplay is a bit tough (you're definitely not a sponge) and it threw in slow mo/bullet time because why the heck not? Graphically I think it looks great (but there is very little acting or facial expressions in cutscenes). Let's see if I can at least get 49 cents worth of gameplay out of it.
Apparently Sting made his long awaited WWE debut last night...uhh Stinger you're late for the WCW/ECW Invasion...by more than a decade.
