Just joined Desura to redeem a key to get an updated version of a game I got in a bundle (because of course the update button in the game's launcher isn't an autoupdater, why would it be?). First impression is holy cow that is one..."special" looking website. It took around twenty five minutes to download all 1.7 gigabytes of the game which isn't terrible, but it's a bit slow compared to every other digital distributor I've used (even ShinyLoot).

Should of seen how the site looked before they changed the look, even more craptastic
I feel that the "Guess what I'm Playing - forum game" would be a little more fun if we could just randomly post hints to what we are playing, rather wait for a next person's turn in succession. Since it's not a contest, I don't see a need for such a restrictive order.
Once again I'm promoting stuff from The People With The Glasses, but in my defense... this one's not wearing glasses :P

But seriously, it's a very interesting re-review of Gus Van Sant's Gerry and the connection between film and games as forms of art.

*contains spoilers of MYST, Journey and Skyrim, as well as several movies*
I expected more chins by now!

Well, at least it shows that GOG still retains a large element of sanity :-)

In my defense, I'd had a few beers -- never mind the fact that it's the only one the wrong way up. You still got a chin and googly eyes! :-D

Its also probably the singularly most disturbing one out of all so far. You look like your cat swallowed you bum-first!

I never expected to get such a wonderfully disturbing image by holding a stuffed toy upside down in front of my face, whilst trying to peer round the edge to see what the image looked like on camera -- it was quite difficult getting that shot! :-)
