NoNewTaleToTell: Despite my occasional whining about the shallowness of Skyrim at times, Skyrim is a nice world to explore, gameplay itself (outside of magic) is improved compared to Oblivion, level scaling has been err....scaled back a bit so you will encounter enemies that are weaker and stronger than you and bandits aren't wearing Daedric armor. It also has some new legitimately interesting lore (although the main story ignores most of the lore, oh Bethesda). It's a better action game too, melee has a bit of weight for once and the classes are mostly balanced. The dungeons are improved over Oblivion's, though they're still linear (now featuring a new Dungeon Boss Room Escape Door (TM) ) but they at least have some size to them now.

Oh, and mods haha. Just to describe a few I'm using, I have one that adds somewhere around a hundred new unique fully voiced NPCs, a mod that makes you quite aware of the weather around you, a mod that adds around a hundred new lore-friendly spells and I just completed a three or four hour long fan made full length fully voiced DLC that takes place on a new landmass. It's rather annoying to hear (at least from those that constantly say "Mods will fix it!") but you really can mod Skyrim to your liking, it has thousands of mods.

Crewdroog: Ok, this thingy with replies not showing up if more than one person is included is getting annoying. ah-hem GOG!

because everyone is doing it! See, I loved Oblivion, but I played that first. I like Skyrim b/c of exploring and screwing around in the game (let's kill everyone or put all the brooms in one house). I have not finished the main quest, though I have about 500+ hrs in game. Also, I like reading all the books and just wrapping myself into the game. However, there were a lot of things that pissed me off about skyrim, but not enough that it kept me from playing. The combat is not hard, the gravity factor in arrows was taken out (grrrr), and the nords are a bunch of buttholes. But there are things I find in game that make me smile like M'aiq, easter eggs, dragonborn (heavy morrowind theme there).

I pretty much do this
Thanks for the replies, I haven't been on the forums much lately hence my belated reply.

I suppose I'm still looking for one great overpowering reason to pick it up again and play through it, and that's just going to be something only I can find for myself.

Tis a sad day for my last bucket.
The mutiny is complete!
Didn't know where else to post this random observation:
There's something interesting regarding this screenshot on the gamepage of HIND? On the bottom right corner there is this web address: -check especially this page [url=http://www.ellosnuncaloharian.com/hind/]http://www.ellosnuncaloharian.com/hind/. It seems then that GOG borrowed this screenshot(and maybe others as well) from said website.
At any rate, I was wondering whether they notified the website about this borrowing-not that I have anything against it(I mean GOG staff has other things to do than playing the game in order to gather screenshots-I guess-plus, some screenshots on other games are indeed their own). But credit should go where it's due, imo. :-)

Edit-technically, credit does go to that other website, but still, it's a bit weird seeing another website's screenshot on GOG...

I haven't either. Despite the playful banter, I've always gotten along with him. I wonder how he's doing...

Ok so what exactly did he do once upon a time to be the butt of so many jokes in this thread? Did he rub someone the wrong way? The right way? Is he just the whipping boy of GoG.com forums? I mean, I guess he's alright with it all though, or at least he doesn't say otherwise?
