Have you tried the offline installers instead of using Galaxy?

MasterofFiction: Have you tried the offline installers instead of using Galaxy?
Yes, because not using Galaxy is a great way to fix a problem with Galaxy...

Yes, that probably would work. No, it doesn't solve the problem.

ciemnogrodzianin: From other interesting deals – looking like historical lows:
· DARQ -70%
· Cat Quest -80%
· Call of Cthulhu -75%
· Way of the Samurai -75%
· Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice -75%
Way of the samurai 3 Deluxe edition (I believe also way of the samurai 4) is actually 80% off matching it 's previous historical low that was on a flash sale about 2 years ago

Decent sale; Grabbing a few odds and ends. Also after finally playing the demo, I'm kinda in love with GhostRunner (despite dying over 100 times in the tutorial), so that's just been bought.

Since Beast Inside is getting a promo stream, I'm gonna assume it'll get added to the sale at some point as well. Along with other games.
Hope we've got some more cool surprise releases coming this week, since Friday's payday.
Agreed that it's a strong sale. Will probably pick up Planescape. Debating on Caligua Effect Overdose.

GOG.com: ...
Good releases, but Lost in Vivo deserves to be here imo, and I imagine there are other decent horror games you've rejected that deserve a second chance.

Yelling (uppercase comment) never solves anything on internet...
There is a pause option at the top of the download page.

The failing download error is an old bug from Galaxy 1.x which was never fixed. I agree it is annoying when it happens.

Zoidberg: Quickie, for those games:

Death and Taxes
Gibbous
Scourge Bringer
Felix the reaper

Is there no missing key rebinds for the keyboard? Just checking, as that critical information is missing from the store description. Cheers!
I only have Felix the Reaper but from what I can tell controls are fixed.

dtgreene: My thoughts on achievements:

First of all, IMO achievements should be a feature coded into the game itself rather than a feature of the platform. In other words, system-wide achievements don't make sense to me, but achievements that are accessed in-game through a menu do.
They don't make sense either way.

Achievements make me less interested about games, so any publisher/developer/store that dares to offer old-fashioned games with no trace of achievements is more likely to get my money.

kai2: ... had hoped Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth would make the list.
Rather weird decision, especially when you take into account the whole Lovecraftian "flavor" of the sale.

kai2: NIce sale -- although I do notice some prices creeping North. But...

... had hoped Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth would make the list.
It's my belief that more games will be added during the week. Other strange omissions are Dead Space and Little Nightmares, for example.

Last night, some games were added to the sale, like Blood: Fresh Suply, so here's hoping.

eiii: Happy Halloween!

And the sale has at least one good offer, the first Mafia game 80% off. Bought, even with the butchered music. It's the highest discount on GOG, as far as I remember.
You can restore the original music:

@GOG.com team:
A while ago you used to release cool sale-themed high-res art and wallpapers. Any chance you doing the same this time around too (with the Cthulhu/tentacle art)? I'm sure my desktop would benefit.

Great sale by the way.

Maybe it will be added later in the sale
