Aaand Wing Commander gets five stars on Netflix from me. Onward to the next bad entertaining film there!

Wishbone: Starship Troopers is a bad movie, but in a good way (are you not entertained?). .

.
One of my all time favorite movies!

Now Starship Troopers 2&3 were just plain bad movies, not much pleasure involved in watching them at all! I have not seen the fourth one yet.

PaterAlf: You want to talk about bad movies:

Attack of the Giant Moussaka
How on earth did you find out about it? I didn't even know it existed, and Wikipedia says it has achieved cult status. ↁ_ↁ
Now I know this forum is militantly anti intellectual, but the sheer frequency with which this thread gets made and the number of replies it garners each time are rather sad.

I think you misunderstand us. For example Doom is a shining example of existentialism in a nihilistic and militarism oriented society that suffers from extreme rejection of self-consciousness when faced with a until then unknown species culture and values.

ARTE (a Franco-German TV network) aired it some years ago. They had a trash movie series at that time which is quite funny, because normally they are known for quality television and intellectual programs.

And here is another movie that I enjoyed when I saw it at my local cinema one or two years ago:

Zombies from Outer Space

Wishbone: I suppose someone has to mention the original Evil Dead trilogy in this connection, might as well be me.
Total nonsense, Evil Dead movies are just good.

How about Ender's Game, I didn't watch it myself yet, but supposedly it's not very good yet still undeniably an entertaining movie.

It's not good, have annoying children and is a Hollywood cut and paste job through and through. The only entertaining parts are some violent kid rage scenes, I did enjoy those and some CGI space battles. It's just not entertaining enough in a bad way to fit here I think.
I agree that there is a lot of disagreement to be had with what is going on in this thread. Some are just good movies (like Starship Troopers) that shouldn't be here, some are just bad bad movies that shouldn't be here at all, I feel. A lot of B or C-movies qualify out of default. Evil Dead is a good debate to be had. I would say a few tops for me are:

Masters of the Universe
Hellraiser
Waterworld (this may just be a good movie, though it gets a lot of hate)
Blade
Freejack
Lawnmower Man

I can't watch them very often (once every 6 years at minimum), of course, but when I do, they are certainly enjoyable for me. There are others.

Waterworld is a very good film regarding filming and directing. It just fails horribly in directing the actors and the script for them if that makes any sense. It fits right here and I do enjoy it too. :)

Hellraiser is a very good film if you ask me, the third might classify in this category though, which I really like as well.

Blade I also thought was decent quality.

Yes, it makes complete sense, and I agree completely (hence the note in my initial post.) I just wasn't going to go into it for that post and thought the might belong in this thread, exactly because of what you say. Even more specifically, even though I like her a lot, it's the scenes with Tripplehorn. They come off poorly and I think her whole character and her developments are simply written badly and could have been much more awesome and it brings everything down. They need to go "high" with her rather than "low" and let her be inspiring and kick-ass. I think it could have also been much improved if they would have had the ability to put MORE into the budget and make it even a longer epic (perhaps even a 3 part movie, extending the depth of everything.)

It is good in its own ways, but the dialogue is cheesy as hell and there is a lot of formula going on. The cool ideas and the gore FX never get old, though. Clive Barker is one of my favorite writers.

Birdemic: Shock and Terror

It must be seen to be believed.
Every Pauly Shore movie (My favourite being Encino Man)
The Lawnmower Man
Piranha 3D
TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze

F4LL0UT: In my opinion it's a brilliant but almost universally misunderstood film. It physically hurts me when I see people mistake its clearly intentional trashiness and cheesiness for regular movie badness.
Agreed. Paul Verhoeven is a subversive genius.

Well I didn't think that much about the failure about Waterworld except that it looked like a glorified fantasy of Kevin Costner and that the characters and their script was forcibly changed to fit his ego instead of letting the story take the main stage. I agree that it would have benefited by being a series of films. The story and the films storytelling feels compressed.

Clive Barker. The thinking man's Stephen King. I like both writers in their own way. Stephen King is the master of atmosphere and characters. Clive Barker masters the horror of the mind. He somehow catches the feeling you have when you wake up from a nightmare. :)
