Tarm: I knew I could count on you tinyE. Now the question is have you watched it and been entertained? Those two are needed here. :)

tinyE: I've seen and loved all those movies. I crave the Troma movies.
Great!

To everyone: This might turn out to be a good films tips thread too.

*Continues watching Wing Commander*
-Cherry 2000
-Starship Troopers
-Willow
-Kindergarten Cop

Snobs will try to say those are bad movies, I think they are great. Don't be the party pooper
Buckaroo Banzai, though I admit that much of my thrill comes from knowing how much the wife didn't like it. But she's a trooper and stayed for the entire thing, so I gotta give her credit for that.
Used to like this one as a kid:

A kid-friendly ripoff of The Terminator.
Any bad film by Carpenter is enjoyable to me because at least it features Carpenter's enthousiastic atmosphere of Carpenter filmmaking by Carpenter.

I enjoy Tango and Cash solely because of the name of the baddie.

I love all "haunted item" movies (haunted house, haunted ship, haunted submarine, haunted phone, haunted camera, haunted cello, haunted ducts, haunted trench, haunted bunker, haunted tape, haunted hotel, haunted orphanate, whatever, I'm sold at "it's a ___ and it is HAUNTED" pitch), and I love most possession movies.

I love at least half of Romero's zombie movies, and all of Coscarelli's Fantasm movies.

I love several Terence Hill and Bud Spencer movies, which includes He Who He Finds A Friend He Also Like Finds A Treasure Too.

I love Runaway.

I adore Vous n'aurez pas l'Alsace et La Lorraine. Also : Le Maître d'Ecole.

I love L'Aventure c'est l'Aventure. And I adore Boulevard du Rhum.

I like most giant monster movies with Harryhausen stop motion animations.

I really like Lynch's version of Dune.

I can rewatch basically any James Bond movie an infinite amount of times.

I love old gothic movies like the Hammer stuff with Lee and/or Cushing, or the Universal stuff with Vincent Price and stuff.

And I find all Dario Argento movies kinda sweet. If they qualify.

Never heard of the first one.

Starship Troopers is a bad movie, but in a good way (are you not entertained?). Precisely the sort of guilty pleasure this thread is about.

Willow is a fucking work of art.

Kinderkarten Cop is fantastic. If only I could find it on DVD anywhere around here.

Wishbone: I suppose someone has to mention the original Evil Dead trilogy in this connection, might as well be me.

In order to contribute something less well known, I'd like to recommend Death Machine. It is... pretty bad, but tremendously entertaining nonetheless, and it doesn't take itself very seriously, which is something I really enjoy in a movie. Also, nobody plays "creepy psychopath" like Brad Dourif.
That looks really entertaining! Scifi shines in this particular field. :)

Agreed and Cherry 2000 is the best of them. Love robot FTW!
Kindergarten Cop is sooo misunderstood.

Okay I'm afraid for that you have to die.
Not knowing Cherry 2000 is like not knowing The Godfather or Citizen Kane

Indeed. Also, the movie is a deliberate homage to some of the greats of the horror genre. The proof? Take a look at the cast list, and note the names of the characters ;-)
Anything star wars is terrible. Also Die hard 5 is rubbish. Im guessing that 50 shades of crap is terrible, havent watched it thank god.
I can't answer/post and watch at the same time so I'll go back watching Maniac and chuckle. :)

Encino Man! I love that movie!

Funnily enough, they retitled it to California Man over here, because nobody here ever heard of Encino until they saw the movie.

Sorry...

Can a confessed fondness for Weird Science and The Breakfast Club do something to alleviate your wrath?

Oh, and of course The Goonies. One of my favorite childhood movies.

Agreed. I think the problem comes about when comparing it to the book, which has a completely different tone but in the same setting. But on its own, it's entertaining and enjoyable.
