RWarehall: You know why? Because you don't have one.
Because the game in question is *ABANDONED.* Get it?

These games are still available for sale in second-hand stores like E-Bay. They were once for sale and frankly, still are now. But somehow the fact you cannot buy a "brand new" copy gives you the right to make your own for free? That somehow they immediately have no value when peopel are buying them for real money second-hand?
They're in second-hand stores, sure, and then? They're no longer sold first-hand. Second-hand they can sell at obscene amounts of cash, and in either case, the original publisher sees nil. So how is it any better? Like I said, if I throw money out of the window equal to the value of the game I downloaded, you'd be happy.

Pookamustard. You are a thief! Fuck off!
Breja, you are a thief. Fuck off!
Unfortunately, I'm here to stay. Unfortunately, you're provoking Breja to stay even more. You're doing a good job at the contrary of what you're saying you want.

All of you are as immoral as they come.
He who insults just about everyone who disagrees with him has the right to say who's immoral and moral how?

GoG! You should make a statement about this! Many of your forum goers are openly advocating piracy on your website. By their own claims, your silence on the matter legitimizes their piracy....
What I forgot to mention is that 'piracy' of games that used to be sold ages ago but are no longer in circulation is obviously a very stupid matter to be concerned with. Financially, you're not gaining any gains from the games you ceased to sell, so are you even going so far as to LOSE MONEY on enforcing the laws on games you no longer sell? It's a very stupid move for anyone who has any idea about how any for-profit business works, that is to GAIN PROFIT, not throw your money around on useless visits to the court for an equally stupid matter.

Not like GOG is concerned with this argument anyway. GOG doesn't say anything about this argument because it's not their business. CD Projekt RED used to be that before it finally learned that this leads nowhere.

You can repeat the same unintelligent bullshit over and over but no one with an IQ over 30 will buy it...

Silence means nothing...period. You use it as an excuse for your thievery. It makes zero sense that companies would be required to track down every pirateware site and order them to remove the game.

Just because something is not currently for sale, doesn't mean it has no value. The irony and your hypocrisy is that you are claiming some historical significance at the same time you claim it's valueless

You have no right to duplicate the tireless hours of work of others for free. You did not create it. You have not been granted the rights (as Codemasters did on Humble with GRID while they had a license to sell it). You have no legal nor moral right to own that game. How do you know whether Codemasters negotiates a new deal in the future or not? It's their game. You stole their intellectual property. You are a thief, pirate or whatever it's called! It's wrong. You can play word games all you want, but none of them changes the fact what you are doing is wrong...

They are clearly not abandoned asshole! Captain Claw is clearly displayed on Monolith productions webpage, a division of Warner Brothers. Some uninformed stupid fucking idiot saying it doesn't make it so!

Before I leave this thread for good, I just wanted to point out, and this is GOD'S TRUTH, that I was very much of the same opinion of RW, but his conduct has turned me 180 degrees.

Probably the dame reason I have decided to start rooting for ISIS over donald. :D

Welp, too late. People with higher IQ than that can be seen siding with my views

Silence means nothing...period. You use it as an excuse for your thievery. It makes zero sense that companies would be required to track down every pirateware site and order them to remove the game.
Thusly, it makes negative sense to make a fuss over abandoned games. If the companies don't bother, why should we?

Just because something is not currently for sale, doesn't mean it has no value. The irony and your hypocrisy is that you are claiming some historical significance at the same time you claim it's valueless
I did not claim the games are valueless. More assumptions, more assumptions.

You have no right to duplicate the tireless hours of work of others for free. You did not create it. Do you think we should enter the companies' minds so to tell whether they'll release that game again or not, just so we could upload it so that it can never be lost in the first place? Hint hint, we can't.

Before you complain that I'm "duplicating the 'tireless hours of work of others' for free," complain that these 'tireless hours of work of others' get wasted into oblivion firsthand by the game ceasing to be on sale! That's often the real problem here. I'm pretty sure every self-respecting developer would like to see these games alive in some form or another rather than killed off because "you're a thief you're a pirate you're immoral you're wrong you're blah blah blah," if they really do want people to appreciate their 'tireless hours of work.'

They are clearly not abandoned asshole! Captain Claw is clearly displayed on Monolith productions webpage, a division of Warner Brothers. Some uninformed stupid fucking idiot saying it doesn't make it so!
Why is it not for sale then? And my, what a way to sabotage the argument. By specifying ONE GAME and invalidating the entire argument somehow. I'll make it simple for you. From now on, the game I will talk about will be called "Abandonware Game," developed by "Abandonware Developers" and published by "Abandonware Publishing." GRiD and Captain Claw? Since you seem so fixated on them a little too much, Abandonware Game will do much better in their place.

To be honest, all you do at this point is insult everyone who shows the slightest bit of concern for you. How should I feel regarding you?

No, you shouldn't download the game illegally. The game is theirs. They have the right to do with it what they wish. It's is up to them to re-release it or not. It is not up to you to download something which clearly does not belong to you just becausde you think it might not be re-released. What you are doing is illegal and immoral.

It's not about mind-reading or any other stupid excuse you are making.

It's pretty fucking simple...
It's their game, not yours!
You have no right to property which doesn't belong to you.
Simple as that...

Everyone who doesn't agree with your opinion is on my side somehow? Do you realize there are those who want neither you nor me? Oh well, I doubt you have realized that before, so I also doubt you'll realize it later either.

That is the dumbest argument I have ever heard...

It's their game, they chose to release it...now you aren't even trying...

I've got a good idea why Captain Claw is not re-released. I alluded to it with reference to it's sequel. Reading between the lines, someone sued them over the title character as someone else created a pirate chicken character based on Captain Hook first. I doubt they could re-release it if they wanted to.

I could say that about all what you had to say. But I'm better than that.
It's their game, they chose to release it...now you aren't even trying...
If you want your logic to be complete, they'll also come to my home and take the game away from me, because it is 'theirs' and no longer for sale. It is theirs in the sense that they create it for people to BUY IT and play it. When they suddenly decide to not accept profits from a game however, the game has already been released and people will end up making the legacy of said game live on than die. In other words, it's theirs until they take it off store in the sense of how they want people to get it. If they want the game to be fully theirs however, they'll not even release it.
Captain Claw
No more Captain Claw or GRiD, only "Abandonware Game."

You really do not belong on this forum at all.
GoG started by bringing old games back for sale and make them available for modern systems.
You are the one claiming that as soon as a game is unavailable for sale, everyone has a right to pirate it.
That is in direct opposition to what GoG stood for...

More unintelligent justification...
It's really quite simple...
The game is theirs...
They sell licenses to use the game...
You don't have a license, you have no right to the game. Period.

How many times do I have to repeat it...and how many times will you refuse to answer...
Why do you have any right to the created works of others at all?
It's theirs, not yours. They created it, not you. Yet inexplicibly you claim you now have every right to have it. It makes no sense whatsoever...
