I'm thinking: waffles with whipped cream and strawberry jam or pancakes with butter and syrup.
Don't honestly know which one I'd pick, I'd have to flip a coin.
To me pancakes are something I can eat for breakfast, I can't picture doing that with waffles.
On the other hand waffles feel more like a proper desert to me.

Syrup waffle, preferable when they've been freshly made and are still warm.
Not a breakfast or desert, but more a snack or treat.

Both are yummy but let me add in blini (buckwheat pancake) and sweet chapatti to make this thread even crazier.
