Not since the pandemic in 2020, but that's in part because of the latest giveaways and going back to work. I've been playing new (or new to me) games since last year.
NWN2 didn't work too well on my 2009 computer, apparently my graphics card (an ATI Radeon 3450) wasn't good enough because when I had to get a new one (found a Radeon 6400 for $35 on ebay. I didn't want to spend a lot of money fixing a 10 year old computer, but wanted a card equal or better to what I had) for that computer it worked better. As such I never really finished NWN2 until after the upgrade, which was in 2019, almost 10 years after getting the game.
That said, once I had a good enough graphics card (you CAN play it on an ATI Radeon 3450 at minimum settings but the game is slightly choppy) the game was actually pretty good. Almost as good as NWN1, but I found the way they redid the mini-map and the camera controls to be inferior to NWN1. The mini-map was harder to read, and the camera was more frustrating. If they had kept those the same the game could have been as good or better than NWN1.

There are quite a few fan-made modules worth playing. Many are as good or better than the official "premium modules", but finding them on the Vault is like finding a needle in a Haystack. Sturgeon's Law applies, just like on Fanfiction.net. I know there were several threads with recs on Sorcerer's Place, but I can only find one quickly:

Crazy that nobody would take NWN1: Diamond, given how legendary that game is. To me, NWN1: Hordes expansion is where it's at there. I need to work more on the DLC's from NWN1 EE.

NWN2: Complete by Obsidian is really good too - base-game's campaign is quite good; Mask expansion is great; Zehir is good too. I should go finish Mysteries (by Ossian), which is also really good. NWN2 is a pain to get running on modern Windows OS's, but it can be done - use NWN2 Client Extension to fix the animation stuttering problems; and force the game into Windowed mode but ALSO use an app like Borderless Gaming to full-screen it.

Temple of Elemental Evil unmodded has serious issues with text size.
There is a mod called "Circle of Eight" that is absolutely vital to have the text not give you eyestrain. Fortunately there is an option to only include bugfixes and omit any "real" modding.

However, with the Co8 mod, the game is actually pretty good. It's much more true to P&P D&D than any other of the CRPGs I've played. There are a bunch of options that aren't available in other games.
However, some people see this as a minus due to it being made "too complicated". YMMV.
If you like having options, it's probably better than Icewind Dale II or Neverwinter Nights, and definitely better than Pool of Radiance II:Ruins of Myth Drannor.

On the other hand, it is more complicated and you'll want to use those options in combat as the game is rather hard, especially in the beginning. If you don't know D&D, you might screw up your character builds and the game is less forgiving. Worse, you also need non-combat skills so having a rogue is almost mandatory.

One thing that did strike me is that it feels like an "advanced" version of "Pool of Radiance II:Ruins of Myth Dranor". As if that's the beginners 3E D&D CRPG game and ToEE is the expert version, to the point I had to see if there was any connection between the producers.
This is in contrast to Icewind Dale II or Neverwinter Nights (either), which feel completely different despite also being 3E D&D games.

Overall I liked ToEE, but I'm also an oddball in that I liked PoR2:RoMD too.

TOEE uses 3.5E rules, while NWN1 uses 3E rules. Don't know about POR.
