It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

HunchBluntley: YouTube comments sections are awful anyway. I've never commented on any YouTube video, and I don't plan to start. :D

Tyrrhia: Not all of them! I would agree if you were talking about big channels, but they can be pretty fine on rather obscure ones. For instance, I’ve been watching a 1,500+‐subscriber YouTube channel for about three and a half years, I’d say, back when it had around 500 subscribers, and the comment section has always been very nice and quiet. I think it just depends on the type of videos and content the channel owner produces.
Fair enough. :) I think we'd better stop this derail, though. =D

Absolutely agree. I always feel embarrassed when there aren’t a lot of posts between mine, especially in threads that are serious and serve a particular purpose. :|

muntdefems: Hmmm... I've browsed it for a while and I only had to allow scripts from zdassets for the content to show correctly (and scripts and frames from zendesk to be able to log in). Unless I'm missing something, one can safely block cloudflare and bootstrapcdn on support.gog.com

PS: I don't understand why there is a separate login, although it apparently uses the same as on the store (and it seems to auto-login if you're already logged in there)
If you use RequestPolicy Continued, and have everything blocked by default, this is how GOG's new Support Centre looks like.

Tyrrhia: On second inspection, I noticed some worrying things (for me, at least). There are now profiles? And followers? And subscribers? Also, on the edit page, there are fields for your phone number and a description.

Is it just a template that they forgot to edit? Is GOG becoming a “real” social network, like Twitter and Facebook?
Nah, I think it's just a hold over from the software they're using really.
When I first logged in I got my Gravitar avatar (it's used for Wordpress comments among other things) before it quickly swapped to my Gog one. And the edit page is actually disabled, so I assume all that stuff is basically left over from the basic package of zendesk they are using.

Don't worry, updating the first posts is serving the particular purpose well enough. Feel free to discuss as much as you like. Btw, talking about the latest change and where it might lead isn't derailing at all, imo :-)

I use uMatrix, which lets you choose which type of content to allow and which one to block (images, CSS, scripts, frames, XHR, etc.), so you can fine tune what your browser loads.

Ah, OK. That would make sense. Though I wish they weren’t using Zendesk. I hate the “X people found this helpful” bit (not just on GOG, but everywhere it’s used): first, it looks like an ad if your eyes are not right on it; and second, it messes with my OCPD because I’d like all numbers to be the same. But I suppose it helps them and if an article isn’t rated helpful, it sends them a message to rephrase it.

Thank you. Still, I’d really rather not flood a thread if it’s not my thread. ;)

Talking about YouTube comments and such kinda would be, though. ;D

muntdefems: I use uMatrix,...
So do I, it's a neat tool.

However, I'm still not that happy about GOG spreading its service across various 3rd parties. Alas, what's done is done.

I'll take a look at uMatrix, not sure if it does the job of RequestPolicy Continued too.

Yeah, I want to contact support to remove the now invalid Constructor gift code from my Orders History, and hate to have to (temporarily) change my settings just to be able to submit a ticket.

HypersomniacLive: ...the now invalid Constructor gift code ...
Oh great, an unredeemable gift code in order history :-/
Good News™, GOG cares and gives me good reason to experience the new support center in action, as well!
I just realized that the On-/Offline marker on the left side has moved to the bottom and the max. chars at "forum title" have been extended from 16 to 50. Marginal change but still a change.

gamefood: .. but still a change.
Quite right, thanks!
