I thought someone had died when I opened GOG and saw the huge big black banner at the top...

Did anyone figure out how to block he purple line on top? It appears somehow either dynamically generated, or CSS inserted. It's really not fitting the rest of the color theme.
UPDATE: OK, that was actually simpler than I thought. You just need to block this image:

And if somebody doesn't like navigation bar being always visible, use this code to "pin" it at the top of the page:
.menu {position: absolute !important;}
.menu {position: absolute !important;}

That's actually part of a larger style I wrote which I call my practical header menu tweak. It also kills off the animations so the menus will be snappier and there's no risk of an annoying flicker of full-page darkness as you pass over them..menu {position: absolute !important;}

eiii: Nice! That's exactly what I was searching for. :) I cannot understand why people think delaying user interactions is a good idea. Web browsers are already slow enough without such nonsense.
1. It significantly improves comprehension of what happened. (eg. Animating an accordion-widget opening so it's clear how the before and after views relate.)
2. The time taken is dwarfed by other latencies in the process.
(I typically crank the animation speed up significantly from the defaults.)

Besides supporting Chinese Yuan (CNY) as currency, GOG meanwhile also supports two additional (Chinese) payment methods: UNIONPAY and TENPAY.
First noticed it two days ago when I opened GOG.com while not logged in and suddenly the prices had the Yuan symbol, so not exactly sure when they started supporting it.
Unlike Steam no Russian-style regional pricing for Chinese customers (yet), maybe when they officially announce it soon.

Next step towards support for the Chinese market taken? I noticed that I do not see any Youtube videos on the game cards anymore (randomly checked a few). Instead there is something called "Wistia Player" embedded in the gallery. I do not know whether that is a Chinese-only thing. Maybe somebody else could check, for instance on the game card of Dyad.

Still Youtube here, so probably Chinese only. According to another user they have replaced Google's recaptcha with something else on the redeem page in China too.

If someone from GOG is reading this: if you want to make Galaxy work in China, you may want to consider changing your content provider. Edgecast is blocked in China, and last time I checked download speed in Galaxy was heavily throttled, almost unusable.

ChrisSZ: Thanks for checking. There are more and more signs that Chinese support is coming within the next few weeks. According to another user they have replaced Google's recaptcha with something else on the redeem page in China too.
