Unseelie_Sluagh: Yeah, it's just a hashtag but one I really don't want to be identified with anymore. I haven't used it in many months but I'm still branded because I was an early adopter of the movement so I'm blocked but what seems like half of Twitter.
As for Solution 6 Months, that's probably one of the more positive things to emerge from it but then again it's from Jennifer Dawe, one of the few rational people left - who also doesn't associate with the hashtag anymore.
The hashtag is used for outrage, harassing Nintendo employees (yes, many people used it to call out that Rapp girl even after she was fired), anti-feminism (because 'muh games are being infected by ess jay dubyas'), etc.
I still believe in some of their goals, that of anti-censorship (real censorship, not because somebody chose to add a character due to their beliefs), journalist responsibility, etc. but all-in-all the hardliners are almost all that's left and it's sad.
YaTEdiGo: What people did with Rapp and her husband is a fucking shame, period. She never said she supported pedophilia, she was trying to explain a cultural pop phenomena in Japan, and the same ones that probably consume Hentai, with hunted her, plain amazing... about her alleged sexual life, is her fucking sexual life, the same for her husband, I agree that maybe Nintendo took the right decision to fire them, because is a private company with the right to decide who represent them, and has a huge children target. But still, what people did with this couple is just a shame.
