As the the necro thing; bodies cannot consent but if a person can decide what happens to his / her body after their death as in cases of donation to medical research or organ donation, most people would choose not to have their body desecrated so most of it is illegal anyhow since I doubt the sick people into this ever care to ask the person who died on how they want for their remains to be treated. And attachment to a person does not go after their death and their friends and family being the priority; IMO the principle that a dead body has no more significance than an object is unreasonable to their loved ones in terms of respect for their feelings; especially considering they're the friends and family who would have high attachment to them.
