htown1980: I've been wondering, you might be able to answer for me, are these guys actually getting $7,700 per month to make this or do they only receive it if they hit the first milestone of $25k per month (which seems like a weird milestone given it looks like they have made a lot of the film already)?
The $7,700 per month probably isn't accurate. My understanding is that patreon allows different forms of gifting. You can gift per month or per event. (for example per video) I believe also that each patron has a certain amount of time to confirm their gift after each month or event.

adrenochrome - aka Drencrom® with Milk Plus - good for sharpening you up for a bit of the old ooltra-violence!

Hopefully too much of Roosh doesn't rub off on them.

Facts:

They do get 7,700$ per month (i.e. per monthly update) right now and have actually gotten 8,500 and more in some of these last months — there was a bit of a donation drop after the Owen/Aurini team temporarily split up over Owen's allegations that Roosh V. was not able to convince Danish women to sleep with him some years ago. The Owen/Aurini team is now safely in the vicinity of 80,000$ in total donations gathered in 10 months' time.

thank you. nice to see some gg'ers profiteering from this. its a super smart patreon as well. they must have known they wouldn't get anything like $25k per monthly update so they wouldn't have to produce something with high production values.

I hope its released on youtube, I would like to watch it, if I can.

Interesting that he thinks AAA and #gg share a common interest. I wonder why AAA developers would be so supportive of a movement about journalistic ethics. I wonder if AAA devs see #gg as something they can take advantage of, I guess it tends to go after indy developers and largely leave the genuinely corrupt AAA devs alone.

As pointed before, AAA devs tend to cover their tracks better and have good lawyers so they are hard to bring down in case of corruption, not to mention that even with ethical reforms they would remain mostly unnafected. However let me remind you that #GamerGate keeps an eye on them.

Sharing common interest? Did you even read the article? He says that AAA devs have more to lose thangain if they stand with aGG. Because GG is less limiting to their ideas of making games. Why would any AAA dev stand with a group that routinely uses their games as jump-pads for their own agenda? Business is a game. It is about risk reward. Standing with a cult of radicals with a history of cannibalism and one that routinely insults their audience isn't profitable, logical OR ethical.
GG doesn't target indie devs because they're indie devs. Get a grip on using generalizations.

If we share a common interest with AAA devs is artistic freedom. Too bad not all indie devs share that interest with us.
So there was sever outrage over the deus ex "technological apartheid" apparently being "white racist devs promoting oppression"
This response says it all.

Also, Wu named 'pandering to customers' to be the most worrying thing about E3, so now you heard it: treat your fanbase like fucking thrash and "fuck them in the ear".

Shadowstalker16: Fun to see how Anita and Muckintosh gradually shifted their outrage focus to violence as well. If it was possible, this is a symbol of them selling out even more to the coke-induced screams of the mainstream media.

LeonardoCornejo: I would guess it was always their plan, deep inside they only want to make video games as bland as possible.

As to that pandering shit, it's just revelation of the method. The gaming press (and the press in general) have held the public in intellectual contempt for years. In the past they kept their teeth and ass cheeks clinched over it. Not so much any more.

Why anyone would align themselves with that snobby, hipster lounge crowd boggles my boo-boo. I suppose shit does indeed roll uphill.

are they unaware gamers just enjoy it if devs are friendly with them? It also makes us more interested. Look at the CEO of Stardock, Brad Wardell. He has behaved open and nice to his fanbase and it gained him quite some fans. As dev, pandering to your fanbase is a good thing.

But no, they will be mad unless the pandering is exclusive to journos and SJW.

I feel like these people have build up a massive superiority complex.

Indeed they have. Want to be really creeped out? Watch some C-Span and catch a random news conference and pay attention to the chit-chat of the press club in the audience. You would have thought they were the privileged entourage of King Louis IV. The fourth branch of government has truly become its own supporting 5th column of thieves and villainy. Wu and the others are just the gaming world extension of that. They go to elite universities, read leftist rags in air conditioned offices, then burst out from the egg sac hive of San Francisco with a head full of bad wiring and pockets loaded with PR firm/Venture funded loot... ready to ransack any twitter page or news paper article they can get their grubby hands on. The consumer? Ha! Lowly peasants. To them the consumer is nothing more than an empty vessel waiting to be filled with 'their' version of reality, then sucked dry of all labor induced revenue.

But the real funny part of the joke is that for all their contempt and savaging of the common man, the stupid gamers, all of their rhetoric is still somehow couched in socialist and collectivist principles. We all hate the ones we love, don't we?

Isn't that the same Stardock that implemented a shitty DRM solution?
(Also, 'pandering' is rarely a good thing.
"the views one is expressing are merely for the purpose of drawing support and do not necessarily reflect one's personal values." tends to imply that the person/group in question is compromising on their "artistic integrity" for the sake of appeal to the lowest common denominator.)
