I mean, honestly. Look at the fact that any viewpoints opposing what is generally the 'pro-GG' group are consistently getting low-rated even if they are engaging and being at least as reasonable as their counterparts.
On top of that, you have instances of certain individuals just responding to be arses and throwing abuse (and using slurs, as though that somehow proves their support for ethics right enough) instead of actually discussing anything whatsoever.

As I suggested in another place discussing much the same things:
How about people work out what we actually agree on first?

And then we can move from a place of mutual understanding towards hashing out the clusterfucks that are the myriad points of contention.

Personally I've never been against sexy but empowered and fully realised female characters that aren't just window dressing or 1 dimensional prizes to be won by the male protagonist
