Unfortunately pretty much all the people who are supposed to be representing the interests of gamers are either douchebags who are only out to save their own asses or too cowardly to make enemies with the wrong crowd or are too inept at doing some actual research (big surprise there!).

Most everything in a political fight comes down to a two prong, left/right paradigm switch. You just need to know which switch to use based on the issue at hand. I've found myself allied with very strange bedfellows before... they're going to use you and your side to gain their own advantage. You must sometimes also do the same. For that same reason, I'd never go to Fox news or Red State to sell my ideas on peaceful solutions in the middle east, nor urge pro gun rights legislation with CNN or Huffington Post. Propaganda? Propaganda is simply information conveyed by humans to influence others. What sort of information or knowledge wouldn't fit that description?

I have to concur here. Breitbart actually advertises Fox News stories; something that usually would be pretty damning of the site for me. However, at least in this particular story thus far, it has provided factual insight into an issue that has people on both sides of the political spectrum expressing concern. They may well be using this story for their own political expediency, however as long as it does so through sticking to logical arguments based on all the facts then it is nonetheless useful and relevant. I would also like to point out that this is in stark contrast to much of the other reporting that has been coming out of various other outlets that attempts to present gamergate in a poor light using (among other things) strategically selected facts, downright lies and offensive language to create articles that confound anyone with a sense of balance and logic.

Tim Schafer should hire Dina. He also has a knack for being an ass on twitter and screwing his consumer base.

Yeah, pretty much. I definitely would not have shared the ID card (or even the university she works at) if I was her. I hope she does go to the police if she keeps getting threats. It's really fucked up how hypocritical some people are, claiming to act on behalf of women's rights and then making rape threats against women who disagree with them. I can't even tell if they're intentionally lying about supporting women or if they're so deluded that they really don't see the obvious contradiction here :S

I think they're blind to all of that, again, very cult-like, they expect people to join them when they start 'defending them'. All of the labels, all of the threats strike me as more, treating them as 'Unpersons' who don't have rights, don't need to be fought for, and are in fact 'The enemy'. I don't really get the attitude though. It's pretty sad, and scary.
