RWarehall: Let's just say this. I see both Fever's and Vain's true colours from the last few posts.
For the record, and I'm not surprised Vain can't understand the nuance or how stupid his post sounds, but Elizabeth Fogarty pointed out that there was a single doxxer and not the SJW movement as a whole. And I agree, that person and those who chose to retweet it are the criminals. I would hope that others would condemn such behavior. The same way GG condemns doxxing and harassment. There is nothing inconsistent with this and standard Gamergate philosophy.
It was a first hand testimonial by a woman of all people on Reaxxion? But you just want to dismiss her as a MRA? All those links are thoughtful articles and contain interesting perspective. I encourage thoughtful minds to read them and make their own judgments. Some people like Vain, have already decided who's right and wrong before reading anything and just want to poke holes in things. Thoughtful individuals will see some truth.
I guess Fever doesn't get it either, because apparently one crazy man who shoots people because he blames feminists apparently means to her that all those who dislike the actions of feminists must be crazy shooters. You continue to paint all people in broad strokes. One shooter means all MRAs are serial killers? You are just outright nuts. This is a serious problem for you and its why no one really takes either of you seriously.
See, I hear a lot of this 'paints everyone with the same brush' cry from the GG side and I always think "Hmm I'm sure that's not what they meant, really, but then maybe I'm just biased"
But this time it was me saying it and I know what I meant and I didn't mean that all MRAs were potential mass shooters (any more than anyone else) or people who might club together to form some kind of ISIS-like terror group
I meant that life in the ISIS Caliphate, as it relates to women and gender politics (or how I envisage it working if allowed to settle into something resembling normality, one they've beheaded everyone they don't like the look of) bears a striking resemblance to what you'd imagine the 'Incel' blogger who defended Elliot Rodger's actions and blamed society would envisage to be a 'just' society
I'm saying that the 'Incel' extremist vision of the society they want to live in looks similar to the Islamist extremist's and that, yes, extreme misogyny and male dominance are a big part of the Islamist extremist's mindset, the only difference is that they tell themselves they're doing it in the name of a religion, a God but that may be just a way to justify their actions to themselves and others.
And yes, there's other things on the agenda too - power, money, land, hating the Jews - the usual
I'm not saying that every MRA supporter or even 'Incel' nut is that extreme, in the same was that I don't expect anyone to think that I even agree with every word Anita Sarkessian has ever said on camera, let alone anyone truly extreme on the feminist side
(For the record, out of the videos of her's I've seen I give a thumbs up to 'Dead Girl In the Fridge' (which she didn't come up with herself, she freely admits) and a thumbs down to 'Alien Birth' for a number of reasons)
BTW, just to be clear, I'd a dude, a white dude, just like Tim Schafer, it might be better for my position if I was a big black diesel dyke but.. I'm not
