jefequeso: I'd also like to point out that when this initially dropped, LordKat claimed that he was also going to the FBI with this information. So if it's true, there will hopefully be some really concrete evidence of its truth some time down the line.

I agree, though. Right now, it hasn't been proven as true, and I don't think anyone should jump on the bandwagon yet.

LiquidOxygen80: That was just the pre-announcement for the actual piece, while the people that did the sleuthing consulted with a lawyer. Watch both videos, if you're not convinced of actual wrongdoing, that's okay.

I don't think anyone's actually calling LordKat a journalist, to be frank. That was a blog post releasing content of the video that contained the evidence from Polytron.

Don't mistake me, I'm not implying that this is a news article. Merely that it's a development in the whole crazy gamergate saga, and something of great interest to anyone that wants to keep on top of what's going on. That's all.

All I want to do is have a place where people can post developments in gamergate, since sorting through the hashtags on twitter to find them is a chore. That's all. There's no reason to fly off the handle about it.

And yeah, I'm implying there will be actual news. The fact that this IGF/Indiecade thing is being speculated on is news. A journalist doesn't need to write an article about it for it to be news.

If you've got an axe to grind, go grind it in one of the threads I linked.

You're being a troll, cut it out. jefequeso is just trying to make an organised thread where new information and developments can be posted and tracked, separately from the ongoing and cluttered discussions. Nothing wrong with that and no cause to invoke censorship.
