wasteland 2 got 3 mil as well but then again I heard that that was far from a scam (heard nothing but praise for it). I actually have it but i haven't found the time to play it yet/
If you get 8 times your requested budget, i feel like you need to really deliver (a whole game).
But here's what i caught of all this: Tim puts game on kickstarter, gets 8 time the requested amount. Somehow he runs out of dosh and releases the first halve alone. Meanwhile Tim is making another game on early access, runs out of budget there as well and then just says "hey modders, here's an unfinished game. It's your problem now. Bye, i'm off to insult my audience and especially the minorities in it."
So we got 8 times the requested kickstarter budget, all that munie gone (with the wind) and 2 unfinished games with no budget to go on.
Something tell me he used the 1+1+40=50 formula when calculating his finances as well.

I never heard of #notyourshield until now and after having read a bit through the material, I wonder how stupid and fanatic anybody can be to attack those people. Well, the ones preaching peace and tolerance always got hammered on and this time it's by the feminazis and highly fraudulent devs like Tim Schafer who obviously want to have a new audience.
Heck, I'm a real minority, there are more women, black people, gays, etc... than people with my mutation (mostly affecting the brain) and I can't describe how wrong the use of terms like this truly is for agendas that are only there to justify more money by not only a bit shady means (corruption) via getting support from some fanatics (= neo-feminists) who really like to hate other people in order to make themselves feel superior.
It's all so wrong.
Gamers are used as scapegoats and other minorities are used as shields by misled feminists -> those feminists are used by corrupt "journalists" -> those journalists are used by corrupt devs, etc... Stahp!
Gaming was way more fun when it wasn't a billion dollar industry with all those lies, schemes and hating.

Oh boy, am i fucking glad i didn't pledge to any Double Fine KS projects. You know what, i was thinking about purchasing the Grim Fandango remake, but now Tim Schafer can go fuck himself, i'm not giving him any of my hard earned money anymore. I still have my physical copy around anyway.
And you know what's weird? Tim Schafer has been acting exactly like Peter Molyneux for years regarding his games: he's promising way more than what he can achieve and he's not delievering anything he has promised, yet the gaming press doesn't hold him accountable in any way, shape or form. But when Molyuneux does the same thing, he gets an offensive interviewer accusing him of being a pathological liar in a hit piece. Why doesn't Tim Schafer get the same treatment? Maybe because he's part ot the "clique", as shown by his last speech at GDC? Where are the prople who supported the RPS interview like htown? Where are you now? Double standards much?
For fuck's sake, how long has it been since the Broken Age KS campaign? 3 years? Where's the game people paid for? And what about that Early Access game that was abandoned in an unfisinished state? He basically just took all the money and ran away.

And I buy the upcoming Day of the Tenticle Remastered and Remaining Monkey Islands when they come here. Because I want to see the greatness of LucasArts adventure games that they overshadow all other Point and click games.
I buy Massive Chalice if it turns out to be an OK game. Not interested in Broken Age at the moment.

So, Polygon has listed their GDC panels articles where it gets quite comic due to the amount of stupid subjects (like "games doing fat-shaming"). So in the comments of the article "how to hire women in game industry" (e.d.: by just hiring "people", dumbass...), I noticed an exquisite exchange wher the CM just take a dump on someone's concerns about other "minorities" than women. Screencaps attached, the guy who posted the "waiting room" pic tought the same as me ^o^

It's a shame about the good people working at Double Fine, their boss screws up and it hits everybody. If Double Fine was a publicly owned company he would have a lot of explaining to do to shareholders. Then again, there is a reason Double Fine has no investors.
BTW: I had to laugh when I read "gender-neutral" bathroom. If the bathroom is not gender-specific then it's just a plain bathroom. It's like they are trying so hard to be "not like those other guys", they don't even notice anymore how off they are. I used to think that SJWs are just dumb kids and people pretending on Tumbler for the lolz, but these are grown up people. Is the San Francisco water supply infested with some brain devouring parasites? What is going on here? My usual explanation is that it's a con-artist or profiteer, but what kind of money can you make by labelling bathrooms as "gender neutral"?
