htown1980: I think #gg is an movement [removed insult] who correctly (conf) relate journalistic integrity with anti-SJWism, [removed insult], who think readers should be able to tell journalists (what) how to say, who on the one hand are against conflicts of interest with indie developers, but (ignore) less concerned with potential conflicts of interest with AAA companies and (use the [strikethrough]potential[/strikethrough] conflict of interest with) leverage advertisers to further their goals (I could go on).

Brasas: Do go on. As it should be obvious (meteor impact level of obvious), I have a lot to say on our disagreements: on the ethical nature of objectivity in journalism (demanding a how, rather than a what), as well what the mission of journalism should be (integrity being or not possible together with any ideological priority like social activism).
OK, one last try. Which of the reasons that I gave, do you think related to the morality of #gg?

All of them. The one about leverage of advertisers I find much less interesting though.

So you are saying if you think someone cannot understand subtlety, you are calling them immoral?

No. But saying that someone cannot understand subtlety (calling them stupid basically) may well be immoral. Even if true. Nuanced enough?

But my question was "Which of the reasons that I gave, do you think related to the morality of #gg?"

Not "Which of the reasons I gave related to my morality?"

Do you not understand that question or are you intentionally avoiding answering it?

What a wonderful opportunity for me to lead by example ;)

Actually, neither applies; I was careless, because I was running out to catch the tram. :) When I said all of them, I meant the three non insulting arguments you gave. That's where I was careless, in replying to you on the fly instead of noticing this inconsistency. Congrats my dear aussie asshole.

You're right that to insist on my point I'd have to argue a convoluted point, which would absolutely depend on your beliefs and why you felt the insult was appropriate. Kinda like me just insulting you, obviously says nothing at all about you, only about me, so you can't be offended. Right? :)

I'm not interested in going back to that topic of you. If you're happy with your gotcha, how about considering the substance of our disagreements? Insults are kind of childish huh, even if they sting.

I actually don't care about your view on #gg, the only point I cared about was trying to understand which of the reasons I gave for being anti-gg you think related to the morality of gg - which I still don't understand - but of course you have no obligation to clarify that any further.

I'm sure at some point in these forums you will make some point which I will find interesting and want to discuss, but nothing right now.

Don't worry. I'm a big boy, I can handle rejection.
Why don't we both knock the passive aggressive bs mate? I'm sure someone's enjoying it...

I thought I answered you already? We just had this detour into my tram journey for you to score a gotcha point...

I changed three things in your verbatim post, all of them relate to the morality of GG.
You replied before I found out how to strikethrough, maybe that helped the misunderstanding.

The sad part is I'm pretty sure it was friendly fire. Maybe a sign that we all need to take the intensity down a few notches? It proved my point in a way, though, because that person automatically assumed I was generalizing about a religion instead of using it as an example to caution against dismissing all of GG over its rare crazies.

I think most of us could agree that defending those who legitimately believe in something from lazy generalizations caused by the actions of a few rogue individuals is a pretty decent way to behave. Still can't see why GG is considered an exception to this.

Oh no, someone I don't know and will never meet again made a crude joke, I am so triggered now. Quick everyone, donate to my Patreon account.

If anyone ever told me that I'm not a real gamer or nerd or whatever I'd just answer "thanks for the compliment". There, problem solved.

I'm laughing my ass off at Harada's sense of humor when he proposes to replace the jpop/cosplay character of the new Tekken for a "muscular & skinhead character". Sucks to be American :o)

I'm one of the people who tweeted to bring her into the American version, and I don't even like fighting games...but seriously, people bitching about character design all day are going to find they do more harm then good, as more characters get removed, and ultimately games stop appearing here altogether. On the same line, you're going to see a lot of AAA game publishers decide that including female characters becomes too much of a minefield to navigate safely and just remove them in general. Which is pretty fucking sad if you ask me. But that's the power of negativity, it takes 10x the positive effort to even it out.
