The whole Devotion thing is really blown out of proportions. I think it has zero effect to GOG's or CDP/CDPR's success and profitability, and for all I know, it actually increases them tenfold if GOG just became the to-go gaming store for all the billions or so patriotic Chinese. That theory has just as much, if not even more, merit than claiming the Devotion debacle affects GOG's success much at all. Frankly, I claim most gamers are not even aware of the debacle, and of those who are, 96% don't really care about it much, at least when deciding from where to buy their games (or not).
However, if Cyberpunk 2077 really bombed and flushed CDPR through the toilet, then yes I think that could and would affect GOG too, because CDPR would hurt their parent company. However, I am not convinced yet CDPR is in some kind of long-term trouble. A lot depends how well they are able to fix problems in the game, and at least they seem to be actively doing just that. No idea how big portion of pre-orderers and people who have bough the game are demanding refunds anyway. 50%? 30%? 2%?
